Rest in peace to an amazing human 🙏🏼

Tonight, the community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jesse Adams, founder of Raincoast Dog Rescue.

As many of you know, he recently made several trips to Ukraine to rescue and assist animals caught in the horrors of the invasion.

But this evening, we got the devastating news that he has been killed. It is difficult to comprehend that someone who devoted so much of himself to saving others is now gone.

His rescue partners here in Victoria are unable to access their page tonight and have asked those of us in the rescue community to help share this heartbreaking news.

Our hearts are with Jesse’s family, friends, and all those who worked alongside him, both here at home and in Ukraine. The animals he helped, and the people whose lives he touched, are part of his legacy.

Rest in peace, Jesse. Thank you for everything you did for the animals who had no one else to turn to. You will not be forgotten. 💔
