Lets talk biofilm! It sure is a nasty thing, but there’s a few ways that you can stop it from happening!

Biofilm is a buildup of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms that you will find in your pets food and water bowls. Biofilm can cause many health issues, including UTIs, bladder infections, digestive issues, including diarrhea, and ear infections.

How do i stop it?

-proper cleaning of bowls is essential. Making sure to use hot soapy water, and properly drying, will prevent a future buildup. This is especially important if cats are in the household.

-use your dishwasher. Dishwasher will sanitize your dishes properly so you don’t have to worry.

-use multiple bowls. Rotating clean bowls will ensure that they are dry and clean every time.

-make sure not to leave kibble out too long, always clean raw fed bowls immediately and clean your water bowls with fresh water daily.

- use silicone, ceramic, glass or stainless steel bowls only. Plastic harbours too much bacteria.

Lately, we have been getting a lot of requests to hold boxes for people. Unfortunately, we are super small store and it makes it very difficult to do. We try to do our best but theres nowhere to “hide”it! We are happy to hold boxes until the end of day if needed. Thank you for understanding!

Due to ongoing dry conditions in the Town of Middleton, we are taking important steps to help conserve water and protect our local resources 🌿🚱

As part of these efforts, the splash pad hours will be temporarily reduced to:
🕚 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daily 💦

We understand this may be disappointing, but every drop counts — and your cooperation makes a big difference! 💙
✅ Avoid watering your lawns
✅ Avoid washing your vehicles
✅ Run washing machines when full, avoid small loads
✅ Take shorter showers
✅ Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
✅ Reuse cooking water for watering gardens
✅ Use water wisely
