This knot is slightly different than the one I teach, but same concept. Use a Quick Release, not a slip knot to tie up your horse!

Thank you to everyone who dropped by at Redcliff Days and gave us all wishes on our move, and came to give the horses a good scratch! Seeing familiar faces and getting to know so many new ones, and watching the kids smile and giggle has always been the best part of doing these rides! Thank you Redcliff Days for inviting us again, we have sure loved doing this over the years!

This has been a hard post to write. After serving this community for over 21 years, we are closing our doors. Our family is moving away to start our next journey.

Before we leave in a month, we'd love to see everyone. We will be offering farewell pricing. $25/ person per hour, with groups of 3 or more. If you haven't had a chance to come enjoy riding with us, this is your last opportunity. For private or semi- private ride 25% off the listed prices on our website.
We will also be throwing a farewell party on July (Date to be determined yet) for those who wish to say their farewells to us and the horses.

We have gotten to love so many of you, it has been very hard on our hearts to make this decision. Thank you for your support over the years!

It took us a bit to go through all the fantastic names everyone shared, and after a lot of back and forth, Lara (Kym Cowley), you win the trail ride with the name Rocket. The kids are in love with that movie, and he's their favourite character! Rocket is already living up to his name, booking it around his pen 😊 He sure loves his cuddles too.
Hoku, Centauri, Chewy, Sitara, and Orion were also top contenders!

So Star decided to have her baby during the snow on Thursday. Unfortunately, baby was a dummy foal (you can check this out on Google) so in to the vet we went. Megan at Blue Sky Vet, (love her and her crew to bits!) Used the madigan squeeze on him (I'll share a link in another post). Had to tube him overnight, but he's back home and doing great!

We are having monthly zoom meetings to work on building the Bylaws, SOP's and Certification Requirements for our Riders and Horses. People often think we close for winter, but it's one of my favourite times to ride! Our 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 hour rides are all open. We are a lot more flexible in winter, so if there's a nice day, give us a shout! The horses aren't bothered by snowpants and we have mounting blocks to help you get on with your winter gear. So throw on your long john's, coveralls, coats mitts and toques and join us for a beautiful winter ride!

Till the end of April, we're putting out a deal, to encourage everyone to give winter riding a chance!
*$25/hr/ person for a group (3+ is a group) (normally $36)
*$35/hr/ person for a couple (2 riders)
(Normally $49)
*$45/hr/ person for a private ride
(Normally $59)
*Prices do not include gst

For many who have joined me on trail rides, you would hear tales of my grandmother, telling us scary stories by the fire, calling us "Low down, underground, disconnected sewer pipes" which by the way is a "Mother of a rat fink" when we'd beat her at cards. How when she lived door to us, we had fun scaring her with spiders and lizards.(Trust me, we learned our scaring techniques from her) She loved making people jump, either by her stories or her by hiding behind things. We had so much fun. These last couple years, we haven't gotten to see her much with covid, but I'm grateful we got to see her at the family reunion this summer.
Tonight heaven gained a special angel. Going to miss her. Keep heaven on its toes Grandma and entertain them with your stories. 💖

This has definitely become one of our favourite events! Christy does such an amazing job and helps us all feel like we're pretty talented! Everyone enjoyed the food and the weather was perfect for our ride.💖 Looking forward to next year!

Today was bittersweet, it was our last Valentines special being used up this year! Perfect day for a ride! We had a fun 4 hour ride and a delicious steak dinner along the river. (One day I'll remember to take a picture of that part!)

We are sure loving our Members and the great people we've gotten to know over this last year and looking forward to meeting more! Come enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the wonderful furry friends! Open Monday to Saturday! The hours in the packages count for when you're in the saddle, you can spend countless hours just hanging with the horses, cuddling with the cats and dogs, and brushing all the horses you want!
