Trail Horse Deluxe: Grandpa Edition🌟
Meet Monty – a distinguished gentleman in his late teens to early 20s. His coggins say 2006 from the previous owner. This silver fox of the pasture is looking for a new set of trails to conquer.
Monty was purchased in March as a confidence booster for his current owner, and let me tell you – he did just that. He doesn’t buck, bolt, or spook. His preferred gear? First. He’s the equine equivalent of cruise control. Take him in the outdoor or on the trails and he will be your steady eddy all day long.
Just give him the reins and let him follow the trail (preferably behind a more ambitious horse), or ride him around the farm. He’s not into circles, patterns, or anything resembling effort. Play days? Maybe if something is chasing him. But if your idea of fun is a relaxing trail ride or ponying the grandkids around the farm, Monty’s your man.
🟢 Leads, ties, loads, and tacks up like a gentleman
🟢 Same horse whether you ride him every day or let him sit
🟢 Walk/trot with ease, will lope with the right ask
🟢 Loves his fly mask, takes the bit well, and appreciates a good dinner
🟢 lets you braid his mane and pretty him up like he’s headed to prom
⚠️ Occasionally walking away when you try to catch him. He’s not being rude — he’s just making sure you brought snacks. He’s also not a fan of touching his mouth (takes bridle fine) and might toss his head once out of protest. Totally fair. He gets over himself quick.
Monty has a white spot in his eye. We had a vet out, and there is no sign of ulcers. They suspect it’s an old injury or a cataract, however it does not seem to phase him much.
Seller is motivated as they would like to find a horse willing to go in the show pen, which Monty would prefer not to be. Asking LOW ×,××× starting with a 2. Please reach out to me for more information!
