🎨 Colouring Contest – Back Again at the Dog Show! 🐾

We’re excited to be hosting our annual colouring contest in conjunction with the dog show!

📍 Where to get your sheet:
• Lloydminster Public Library
• Weir Veterinary Service
- Lloydminster Animal Hospital
- Border Paws
• Or print your own at home! (If printing, please remember to include your name, age, and contact number on the back.)

🎁 Prizes for everyone:
Each entry will receive a free swim pass to the Bioclean Aquatic Centre or a voucher for an ice cream or Slurpee from our amazing local sponsors.

🏆 Age category prize baskets will be awarded in:
• Ages 3–6
• Ages 7–10
• Ages 11–13
• Ages 14+

📅 How to enter:
Bring your completed colouring sheet to the dog show on Saturday, September 27th, before 2:00 PM.
👉 Judging will take place on Sunday, September 28th.
👉 Sheets must be brought to the dog show to redeem your participation prize.

🐘 Let’s Address the Elephant in the Room… 🐘
The Renaissance Faire and layout changes.

We want to be clear—we heavily considered all of these concerns before we ever agreed to host the Renaissance Faire alongside our dog show. The comfort and safety of the dogs and exhibitors, as well as the flow of the show, were top priorities from the very beginning.

✅ Benching Spaces
Our updated floor plan creates more benching near the rings, including unreserved spaces and maximizes flow. This year, we have moved away from benching in the Dick Jones building.

✅ Smart Layout & Clear Separation
The Renaissance Faire will be located far away from rally, obedience, and conformation rings. The Renaissance faire will instead share space with vendors, keeping the show environment calmer while improving flow.

This is a wonderful opportunity to try something new! The fundraising from the Renaissance Fair will go to support our local shelter in their efforts to provide for pets in need and struggling pet owners alike. Hopefully, we also have the opportunity to introduce more people to the world of well-bred purebred dogs and dog sports. We’re confident this will be a positive experience for everyone involved. 🐾

Happening alongside our annual dog show (welcoming 250 dogs + their owners to Lloydminster) and the Border Paws Lloydminster SPCA Renaissance Faire – this is a weekend full of dog lovers, Ren Faire fans, and everyone in between. 🐾⚔️🛍️

We’ve got 10 spaces available – just $100 for a 10x10 space (includes a table + 2 chairs).

What a weekend! 🐾💨

As we recover from the excitement, we want to send a HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, and club members. you made this weekend possible!

🎉 26 new Sprinter titles were earned!
🎁 40 prizes were handed out (we had 72 ready, but the rain had other plans)
🐶15 new dogs came for fun runs and we think a few are officially hooked!

💚 We also raised $300 for the Lloydminster & District SPCA, adding to the $200 raised in May that’s $500 in just two trials! Thank you to the exhibitors for supporting such a worthy cause, and to the club members who donated food so we could give 100% of proceeds to the animals in need.

📰 Shoutout to Dan from the Meridian Source for coming out to cover the event and even running his own dog!
