🪄 Introducing Merlin 🪄

Merlin is a 3-month-old Bichon-Poodle puppy with a playful personality that is downright magical. ✨

Friendly and good-natured, Merlin is quick to make friends with the dogs around him and has been a popular playmate while in foster care. Even without canine companions, a good ball and a human to toss it is all he needs for a good time. When he’s done being a happy little puppy-tornado, Merlin makes a fantastic napping partner. Snuggly and affectionate, he’s ready to put in the hours when it comes to cozy time. 🤗

As a young puppy, Merlin is still in the midst of both teething and training. Though it is difficult for him to forgo the nibbling habits until his big boy teeth all come in, his potty training has been coming along nicely. With the wits to match those good looks, this clever boy has been having fewer accidents each day. Learning quickly and loving treats, Merlin gives his furever family a big leg up when it comes to continuing his training. 🐶

For a puppy with both brains and beauty all in one fun-sized package, look no further than this well-rounded little guy!

❤️🐾 WINDY CITY CANINE RESCUE 50/50 DRAW! 🐾❤️

Senior dogs deserve a chance at a happy, healthy life, too! ❤️

Recently, we welcomed two senior girls into our care, and both needed a little extra help before they could start their next chapter.

🐶 Our first girl needed a spay and dental, and unfortunately, her teeth were some of the worst we’ve ever seen. 💔 Getting her the veterinary care she needed was essential to helping her feel better and enjoy the comfort she deserves in her golden years.

🐶 Our second girl needs a little cleanup and some TLC before she’s ready to find her forever home. 🏡

While these girls may be seniors, their age doesn’t make them any less deserving of love, comfort, and a family to call their own. ❤️

Of course, giving these girls the care they need comes with veterinary expenses, and we could use your help!

🎟️ HERE’S HOW OUR 50/50 WORKS! 🎟️

💰 $20 per square
🏆 Total pot: $2,000
🎉 $1,000 goes to one lucky winner!
🐾 $1,000 goes to help cover a portion of the veterinary bills we’ll be incurring for these two deserving girls.

HOW TO ENTER:

👇 Choose your number by commenting below! Each square is $20.

✅ We’ll verify that your chosen number is still available and reply to your comment to confirm.

💸 Once your number is confirmed, we’ll send you the information to submit your payment by e-transfer.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Only comments on this original post will be used for number selection. Please make sure you comment directly on this post so your number can be properly tracked!

Every square purchased helps us provide much-needed veterinary care and gives these girls a better chance at a comfortable, happy future. And who knows? You might be our lucky winner! 🍀

Thank you for supporting Windy City Canine Rescue and helping us care for the little dogs who need us most. ❤️🐾

It was a little chaotic... maybe the dogs just wanted to take a new Subaru for a spin!

Thank you to Subaru of Lethbridge for choosing us as your charity recipient. Your donation with every test drive taken will help us provide care to the dogs in our foster homes. Our goal is to provide the best possible care while the dogs that need us most wait for their furever home. We can't do what we do without community support. Subaru has been a longtime partner and we are grateful for their continuing support!

🐾 LAST BUT NOT LEAST… ANGUS, AKA DINGUS! 🐾

We’re wrapping up our Guess the Breed Challenge with Angus, or more fondly known as Dingus. 😂

Angus came to us from the Flathead Animal Shelter in Kalispell, and let’s just say… what he lacks in smarts, he makes up for in a face that apparently only his daddy could love. 🤣❤️

Why daddy, you ask? Because when Dad is around, Mom might as well be chopped liver! 😂 This boy has his favourite person, and he makes absolutely no effort to hide it.

Angus is a happy-go-lucky guy who is blissfully oblivious to the world around him and firmly believes that everyone he meets should be his best friend. He’s got a heart of gold, not a thought in his head, and a whole lot of love to give. 🥰

Now it’s your turn! 🧬🐶

🐾 Guess the Breed Challenge – Meet Junior! 🐾

Next up in our Guess the Breed Challenge is Junior!

Don’t let his tiny size fool you—Junior is packed full of personality. At just 8 pounds, he’s convinced he runs the entire house, and honestly, the other dogs seem perfectly happy to let him think that!

Junior came into our care in 2015 after having some disagreements with the resident dog in his previous home. Since then, he’s settled into life and continues to prove that confidence isn’t measured in pounds.

What he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in attitude, charm, and determination.

💬 What breeds do you think make up Junior? Drop your top 3 guesses in the comments!
