Carmie Flaherty Dressage

Carmie Flaherty Dressage Level 3 Dressage Coach Carmie currently teaches and trains out of Kensington Park in Langley where she lives with her husband and their two children.

Carmie trained all over the US and Canada with Lisolette Fore, Elizabeth Ball, Anne Gribbons, Deitrich Vonhopfgarten, and more recently, with Leslie Reid, Ellen Bontje and Markus Gribbe. She was the Canadian National Champion Fourth Level with her horse High Point in 1999 and two years later was short listed on the Canadian Team. In 2006 she completed her Level 3 NCCP Certification and also earned

her 8 Pin for scoring 8 – 8’s in the rider collective marks. In 2007 her student, Claire Austring, won the Canadian National Young Rider’s title on Springtree Legacy – a horse Claire competed at First level just 2 years prior. In that same season, another student, Daniella Grey won the Sport Horse Nationals. Carmie has won numerous championships on several different horses.

Leslie Reid Living Legacy Award

This award honors Leslie Reid's contribution to dressage in BC and recognizes excellence in BC riders competing at PSG level and above. The recipient will have their name on a bronze plaque displayed on a Vanessa Whittell painting, which will hang permanently in the High Point Clubhouse. To be eligible, you must be a DBC member and a current BC resident. You need to submit your top 3 scores from Small Tour and above, with one score from each of 3 BC Gold shows, whether from a single judge or panel score. Submit your scores via the online form on the DBC website by October 31, 2025. The winner will be announced and awarded at the DBC AGM. Be sure to provide all necessary information in the written submission section of the application form.
