3 week update for the newfies! They are growing so fast, it is crazy! They are walking around and starting to slow motion play now. So stinking cute. I'll try and get a video this weekend. That Mizu sure spoils these kids. I'll be starting them on mush next week and then they'll grow even faster!! 😵 Here are updated photos and weights for these sweet babes.

And lastly we have Kianda! Or Kiki for short. For a Newfie she is incredibly athletic and quite intelligent. That intelligence gets her into trouble sometimes but it also means she is a pretty fast learner. I was able to teach her to give paw in a single session. Mizu it took a few dozen more... 😅 Kiki loves everyone! Her favourite playmate is Mizu as they are the same age so they grew up thick as thieves. She is a wonderful mum and absolutely adores her babies. Out of all my dogs she is definitely the most photogenic. It's like she understands when I am taking a picture, she will literally pose, it is so funny. And very convenient! She has had just the one litter so far.

The puppies had their vet appointment on Monday and they did so well! Everyone is healthy and happy. These goldens are so incredibly sweet and relaxed. Exactly what we want! Thank you Dr. Colin and Nomad Veterinary Services! You are awesome!

Our sweet Athena. She was meant to be a mama but turned out to be infertile. But that's ok because we love her dearly and she honestly hates puppies 😂 So she gets to live her best Auntie life. Athena enjoys wrestling, but only with Artemis. When her and Artemis play it sounds like a warzone but they are just having the time of their lives. Her and Artemis are the same age (both with October birthdays) but from different breeders, so they are extremely close. She is gentle and sweet and absolutely loves people, including children. She can be a bit of a lazy bum, which you would think would make her a good cuddler but we quickly gave her the nickname of worst cuddler ever as to her if she is not putting her full body weight on something you deem vital for life, are you really cuddling? 😂

The Goldens had such a fun time this weekend hanging out at Akashika Manga and Wag's Holistic Pet Nutrition! They slept most of the time but they're growing babies so I don't blame them. They got lots and lots of pets, and got so many visits from kids. And they did amazing. Such gentle, chill puppies.

Next is Rhea! She is the mother of four of our Newfoundland litters. Although she is an older gal now you would never know it meeting her. She is absolutely obsessed with fetch and water. She would literally play fetch for an entire day if we had the energy. We once hiked up a mountain, took us 6 hours. We got back to the bottom and she was like, "we going again?" Just insane agility and mobility in this girl. I think Rhea's favourite thing is treats though. I may have spoiled her a bit over her lifetime, but like, look at that face. Who could say no to that?? She is retiring soon but she absolutely loves being a mom so she is not going to be too happy about that. 😅 She is also my cuddle buddy on the couch and loves to soak up all the love.

Next is our old lady, Tara! She is a Tibetan Mastiff. Not many of you have met her but she is our guard dog... that loves people. 😅 She does however give the coyotes nightly reminders that if they come near her family they have to go through her. She can be very stoic and aloof, but also has a very silly side. When she plays she throws those paws around and sports a great big grin. And when she thinks something is a threat she has a very intimidating bark and the agility and power to back it up! She would never hurt a person unless they threatened one of her family members though. We very much appreciate her presence in keeping the puppies safe from any unwanted wildlife. Watching her run around with a stuffy and throw it up in the air is one of the funniest things in the world to me. Just love watching her play. ❤

We're at Wag's Holistic Pet Nutrition in Lacombe until 2pm! Come say hi to some golden retriever puppies! They are here for socialization and would love some snuggles 🤗
