Saving Grace Animal Society operates a shelter facility in Alix AB taking in dogs & cats from many situations. We frequently see the worst of the worst in terms of animals needing medical care due to neglect and we always want to be able to help those animals have the best chance at the life they deserve. We also operate a Farm Animal Sanctuary outside of Stettler AB ! Saving Grace is here 24/7 - 365 days a year to take the call of animals in need.

** HAZEL UPDATE **

This sweet girl has exceeded our expectations in her recovery!! She is doing so well 🙌

She attends physiotherapy 3x a week at Cedarwood Veterinary & Animal Emergency Hospital and today that included her being able to start on the underwater treadmill - she did fantastic!!
(She will do almost anything for snacks 😅)

Hazel has is now up to 17kg and is filling in beautifully 💕

We look forward to her progress as we continue on her journey and we are forever grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way - without you it isn’t possible 🙏

** SPONSORSHIP NEEDED!! **

We work so closely in First Nation communities and are very excited about the Rez Dog Conference that is upcoming next month!! 🙌

We are hopeful to be able to participate by raising enough money to sponsor one of the sessions put on 🙏

We are so grateful to have received sponsorship from Susan M. for flights AND dues for one of our staff to attend and our Executive Director will be attending as well 🙌

We TRULY look forward to an engaging learning experience where we can trouble shoot the current issues we face within the communities and create sustainable solutions! 💕

We felt like the “lateral violence” seminar would be a great one to sponsor - the cost would be $2400.

‼️ HELP!! We’re drowning in kittens!! ‼️

Saving Grace is desperately in need of help—kitten season is here, and it’s already hitting us HARD. We have soooo many tiny babies in foster care right now, and our shelves are almost empty.

We’re in urgent need of:

Kitten kibble 🐾

Kitten pâté 🐱 (they’re picky and hungry!)

KMR powder 🍼 (for the tiniest bottle babies)

And for our pups with sensitive tummies, we’re also in need of chicken-free wet dog food 🐶

We hate to beg but… we’re begging.
We can’t do this without you. The babies are coming in nonstop, and it’s only going to get busier.

If you can spare a bag, a can, or even just a share—we would be forever grateful.

🩷 THE G.O.A.T. - DOBY 🩷

This sweet boy was genuinely the “greatest of all time”. 13 years ago our founder’s husband bought this little man as a birthday present to her… Little did we know the impact he would have! As soon as they bonded it was clear that we had to find a way to “rescue them all” and then - Saving Grace was founded 💕

Doby lived an incredible 13 years in our care, and was a true ambassador to our program 🙌

We had to let him go over the weekend as his age was catching up fast 😓 He will forever live on as a guiding force for us to continue helping any animal in need - big or small 🙏

RIP our sweet boy 🌈

🐈Cream Tabby🐈

Henry is a five-year-old cream tabby with a personality as mellow as a lazy Sunday morning.

His soft, sandy fur seems to glow in the sunlight, with faint, swirling stripes that ripple gently when he stretches out across a windowsill.

He’s the kind of cat who makes napping an art form—perfectly draped over the back of a couch or curled like a cinnamon roll in a favorite armchair.

Henry is great with other cats. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.
