As 2025 comes to a close and I sit down to my annual "wine and journal" time, I am reflecting on the ups and downs of the year. We had quite a rocky first half of the year, experiencing a lot of very difficult "firsts", both personally and for the program. On the flip side, we have also had so many amazing "wins", and while we have sure been forced to adjust the sails in the past several months, I am excited for what 2026 may bring and we are entering the new year with laser focus.
The past week has reminded me of the most rewarding parts of this life - sending 14(!) beautiful, healthy puppies home to their new families over the holidays, who all have such wonderful, kind things to say about our program and their new family members. Your words mean the world to me and bring such light to my heart!
I am so thankful for my "partner-in-crime" Arbutus Corgis - you have done amazing work with Fable and her pups! Thank you for being there in my highest of highs, and lowest of lows. You have ridden the waves with me in stride and I can't express how grateful I am to call you my friend!
And to the rest of my friends, family, and community - you all know who you are - THANK YOU. This life wouldn't be possible without you!
