Unfortunately, arthritis cannot be cured and it can’t be managed with just one approach. 🐾

It requires a multi-modal plan that may include medication, physical therapy, joint supplements, weight management, home/environment adjustments, and much more.

While there’s no cure, there are many effective ways to manage pain and improve comfort, helping your dog stay active and enjoy a good quality of life. 💙

One tool we use in diagnosing and monitoring arthritis is the LOAD questionnaire. 🐾 This helpful assessment tracks your dog’s mobility and helps us better understand their joint health over time.

We’re also proud to include this tool in our Silver Paws Senior Wellness Package! 💛

👑🐾 ALL HAIL THE KING! 🐾👑

It’s International King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Day! Today we celebrate the royal rulers of hearts everywhere! From their majestic floofy ears and dreamy, expressive eyes to their grinch like toebeans, these pups truly reign supreme.

Whether they’re holding court on the couch or demanding treats fit for a king, Cavaliers prove every day that kindness, cuddles, and a little drama make the perfect monarch.

Long live these short kings(and queens) - treat-tax collectors, and couch commanders! 🐶👑

Some dogs like peanut butter. Some dogs like squeaky toys and some dogs would rather Netflix and chill than hang out in their kennel. Meet Tessa! Tessa was in last week to see Dr.Karnikaa for an early intervention dental COHAT.

At Ilderton Pet Hospital, we believe Fear Free care means meeting pets where they’re comfortable — even if that means making tv time part of our post op care routine. After all, we let cats watch bird videos… why shouldn’t dogs get their own entertainment?

Every pet is different, and individualized care plans can make all the difference in reducing stress and creating a more positive experience. Whether it’s treats, blankets, quiet spaces, or a video or 2, we’re here for it.

Veterinary care should feel a little less scary… and more like spending time with family. 🐾❤️
