🐾 Friendly Reminder: Keep Leashes Safe and Short!

Did you know that retractable leashes are not permitted under the Town’s Animal Control Bylaw 1122, sec. 48.27.

Leashes must be no longer than 2 metres (6.5 feet) to help keep your pet, wildlife, and other residents safe. If you use a retractable leash, be sure to lock it at the permitted length.

Short, fixed leashes give you better control and help prevent unwanted encounters between pets and people.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe and enjoyable for everyone!
