Introducing the cutest siblings. Our Robb kittens are growing fast and becoming more confident. If you are interested in meeting them please let us know. The girls do still need to be spayed, but we have a foster-to-adopt program, if you qualify you could take one of those beauties home.

House Panthers make some of the best feline companions. As pointed out in a previous post we have 10 in care.

Did you know most black cats are tabbies in disguise.
Black cats have a stronger resistance to disease.
Ancient Egyptians: Bast or Bastet was worshipped as the goddess of protection and cats. She was depicted as a black cat, and many people kept black cats hoping to receive favoritism from her.

Celtics: There are stories of a cat fairy that was a black cat with a white spot on the chest. This feline looking fairy was feared by some but also considered lucky by others.

Sailors and fishermen: Wives would often give their husbands black cats for their ships to hunt mice and bring good luck.

Pirates: This group had a complicated relationship with black cats. One walking toward you was bad luck, but one walking away was good luck. If a cat was on the ship but then jumped off, pirates believed it meant the ship would sink. 🤷‍♀️😂

Here are just a few of our current black cats for adoption. Why not bring some luck into your life.

1. Blake is the longest in care. He is a 2 year old super snuggles who is diagnosed with asthma. He is currently not taking daily medication for it but may require it on occasion.

2. PomPom, Deliah and Marble about 4 months old and ready for adoption. These 3 sweet girls are playful and snuggly.

3. Momma Star was found abandoned in rural Edson area and raised her babies in our care and she even took on an extra baby that wasn't hers. This baby had to have a leg amputated due to birth trauma. Star is also polydactyle.

4. White Star. This little boy was super lucky to find his way into our care. Born to a very young mom who didn't know what to do and an owner in a similar situation, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his leg for about a week. It became necrotic and needed to be amputated.

We have 10 rare black house panthers available for adoption, yet these stunning cats continue to be overlooked for some reason.

Currently, 6 are ready to go home today, while 4 are still receiving treatment for upper respiratory infections but are available for meet-and-greets. Each one is absolutely gorgeous, boasting unique personalities and talents, just waiting to become a part of your family.

Last year, at the conclusion of our 2024 Breakfast with Santa, we secured a date and reservation at The Hinton Legion for December 2025, to once again host the event.
Unfortunately, we received notification from The Hinton Legion Board in September that we would not be able to hold our event there this year. We have been actively searching for an alternative venue for Breakfast with Santa, but due to the timing, it has proven too late to secure another location in time.
As a result, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to host one of our most anticipated fundraising events this year.
We are hopeful to resume in 2026.
We extend our gratitude to all of our donors and supporters. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

We apologize for or silence the last couple weeks. Our main volunteers have been ill and busy with family emergencies.
We are still here and busy with rescues, therefore our social media presence falls behind.
Please stay tuned for some much needed updates.
