Meet the newest member of our groom team, Jennie!
She has been with us for over a month now, and we are thrilled to have her on the team. Jennie has 13 years of experience grooming dogs in Halifax and is certified through the Canadian Professional Pet Stylists and Fear Free Pets. 🐾
What is your favourite brand we carry and why?
“I love that we carry DOGMA shampoo and conditioners, the same high-quality products we use on all our grooming clients. They’re Canadian-made, have options for every coat type (including a great deshed treatment for double-coated breeds), and they smell amazing! There's even a fragrance-free option for our more sensitive pups, which is a huge bonus.”
What do you like most about working at East Coast Dog? What sets ECD apart in the industry?
“What I love most about working at East Coast Dog is the positive, calm environment that's been created here, for both dogs and people. It's such a supportive team, and everyone truly cares about giving dogs the best possible experience. I'm really proud to be a part of it.”
Do you have any dogs of your own? Tell us about them!
“I learned to groom on my familys adopted bearded collie mix, Dora Mae. She’s had many styles over the years, but these daus shes enjoying her short, low-maintence look. I also share life with two Bedlington Terriers, Whimsy and Nimbus. On my days off, we’re usually out walking the trails around Nova Scotia, and in the evenings, we’re all curled up on the couch. Two tired beddies make the best snuggle buddies.”
