Nothing beats watching a crested gecko go into hunting mode when the insects come out!
Offering insects can add variety to their diet while encouraging natural hunting behaviours!

We dust the insects in Calcium plus D3 powder, and offer once a week, any more than that could lead them to ignore their prepared diet and wait for bugs! Their prepared diet should always be the main course!

Setting up a baby gecko’s new home, is very similar to setting up their new home when they are ready to go (but on a much smaller scale!) Babies stay in this small space for a couple weeks to make sure they are established on food before moving into a bigger space!
Three essentials to get you started!

Paper towel substrate — Makes it easier to spot droppings and monitor signs that your baby is eating.

A places to hide — Helps your gecko feel safe and secure while settling in.

A tiny amount of food — They eat a lot less than you think!

Simple setup, happy gecko, peace of mind!

Sweet little moments like this are what it’s all about

Crested Geckos don’t eat nearly as much as you might expect! A little of their complete powdered gecko diet goes a long way, providing the balanced nutrition they need to thrive!

Small portions, big personalities, happy little geckos!

We have been doing a little shopping lately, and we have some exciting plans in the works to add a lot more colour to our projects! Our friend at The Gecko Company 🇨🇦 has sent us these stunning males, we are so grateful to have them!

But for now, we need name suggestions!! Chosen names will be highlighted in our stories this week!!

Can you tell which Cresties are sleeping and which ones are awake? It can be hard to tell since they don’t have eyelids!

Because they don’t have eyelids, it is important to mist their enclosure daily, it helps with hydration and raises humidity which keeps their eyes healthy, and makes shedding easier too!
