Christmas Day Miracle: Conrad šŸŽ„
On this Christmas Day, we want to share the story of Conrad — a true Christmas miracle kitten.

Conrad is just 5 months old and has already survived more than any kitten ever should. Born outside in rural Mount Forest, he spent his early life fighting for food and safety, relying on the kindness of people who did what they could to help him. When Conrad arrived at their door one day with severe wounds and his ear crumpled from frostbite, they knew he needed urgent rescue.

Our Vet Care Director, Heather, stepped in immediately to get Conrad the care he desperately needed. He had been brutally attacked, likely by another tomcat, leaving him with multiple deep puncture wounds across his head and body that became badly infected. In addition, prolonged exposure to the cold caused frostbite to his ear — a heartbreaking but all-too-common reality for cats left outdoors in winter.

Today, Conrad is safe, warm, and healing in Heather’s care. He’s resting comfortably, gaining confidence, and showing us just how resilient he is. While his frostbitten ear is expected to fall partially off, our veterinary team is closely monitoring him, ensuring he is comfortable. Once he’s strong enough, Conrad will be neutered, microchipped, and receive any additional care he needs in the coming week.

Conrad’s story is a reminder of how many cats aren’t as lucky. During winter, cats often hide from the cold, making it even harder to reach them before it’s too late. Every rescue like Conrad’s is truly a miracle.

If you’d like to support Conrad’s recovery — or gift a little Christmas comfort to him and the many other cats in our care — donations can be sent via e-transfer to [email protected] (tax receipts available upon request).

With time, care, and love, we expect Conrad to make a full recovery and one day become a cherished companion in a forever home. This Christmas, we’re grateful he’s still here — and safe.

Meet Raven and June, two resilient black beauties from the same barn. They’ve triumphed over pregnancies, heartbreaking losses, and unimaginable odds to become the loving companions they were born to be - now waiting for their forever homes.

Supermom Raven’s Journey
This petite gem arrived pregnant from the farm, and soon proved her supermom status. The had a single kitten, and then took on a litter of orphaned newborns with pure devotion - now they’re all adopted, and it’s her turn. She is shy at first but treat-motivated and chatty, blossoms into a lap cat on fuzzy blankets, loves chasing her tail, and watching out windows from her cat tree. Her trusting heart will thrive in a calm home with patient owners and older kids - no other cats needed.

Fighter June’s Triumph
June is our little survivor who delivered a healthy litter, only to battle panleukopenia - a devastating virus that took her kittens. She fought fiercely, healed fully, and emerged stronger, her spirit unbreakable. Today, June is healthy, affectionate, and ready to love again. She may start off a little shy, but once she feels safe, she’ll steal your heart with her chirpy meows, playful swats, and affectionate nature. She’s perfectly content in an apartment, happy to entertain herself when you’re gone, and gets along beautifully with other cats.
June may have lost so much, but her gentle, resilient spirit continues to shine. Now she’s waiting for someone to show her what forever love feels like.

Their Forever Homes Await
Raven craves a serene solo-cat haven to share her gentle purrs and playful serenity. June shines in patient, multi-cat homes as your low-key evening buddy. These sisters’ journeys tug at the heart - adopt one today and spoil them with the love they fought for!

They didn’t write this wish list themselves, but if they could, it would sound a lot like please don’t forget me.
Every box you see represents something so small, yet so meaningful to a cat who’s known uncertainty, change, and waiting. Waiting for their turn. Waiting for someone to choose them.

These cats aren’t asking for perfection. They’re asking for a couch to nap on, a hand that reaches for them gently, a home where they don’t have to wonder if this is temporary. They’re playful, loving, goofy, shy, curious, all in their own ways, and every single one of them is ready to give their whole heart to the right person.

It takes so many moving parts and volunteers to go from intake to adoption. Most commonly with kittens this age, they are found outside by kind earth angels, who then reach out to us for help. We then do intake at one of our three intake locations, including getting their initial vetting and evaluation, then they go into a foster home, receiving additional vetting like being spayed, microchipped, etc, and then they can either go back to their foster home or go to one of our amazing satellite locations. After this is when our adoption team gets to work finding the perfect home for each of our kitties. Once a suitable applicant has been found they meet the kitty and if all goes well they have a new addition to their family.

We are so grateful for our amazing team of volunteers, coordinators, admins, and directors. And of course we owe a ton of thanks to the wonderful team at . Because of each of these essential teams, kittens like Macey find forever families and live the rest of their lives in safe and loving homes.

Happy Tails 🐾 ā€œGood morning, we are so in love with little Macey & appreciate the work you guys do to find these kitties homes! She will be well loved here.ā€-Taylor

Happy Tails 🐾 ā€œHello, just wanted to send an update from our first week! Her name is now Lou (previously Roxanne). She is settling in better than expected. She loves my husband and follows him around the house. She got some new toys but her favourite is the cardboard Amazon box. She has been flossing her teeth with our Christmas tree. She loves being pet and doesn’t bite. We did some research and she looks like maybe part Siberian cat part raccoon. Here are some pictures from her first week in Stratford.ā€-Eillis

Happy Tails 🐾 ā€œHello Arthur Animal Rescue, Just wanted to give you an update. The girls (Cricket and Pixie) are now 9 months old. Time is flying by. They have settled quite well, and rule the home.

Cricket is our pretty little princess who could never do anything wrong and wants cuddles and is a lovebug.

And then there’s Pixie. Pixie is our chaos queen who has an affinity for mischief. I’m sure there’s a warrant for her arrest somewhere.

I wouldn’t change them for the world. These two never fail to bring a smile to my face or a laugh with their shenanigans.

Thank you for giving me the privilege of adopting them. Merry Christmas and Happy New Yearā€-Kelly

Meet McTavish — the cat who means business 😼

This energetic boy came in as a stray and after a few months in foster care, he has made it clear he’s ready for a *different* kind of home. McTavish would thrive as a barn or shop cat where he can put his talents to work — chasing mice, patrolling the grounds, and keeping strays in check.

⚔ High energy = happy worker
šŸ‘‹ People friendly, on his terms - happiest after he’s done his ā€œshiftā€
🐱 MUST be the only cat

He’s not a snuggle-on-the-couch type, but if you need a dedicated coworker with attitude and purpose, McTavish is your guy!
