🖤 We had such an amazing time at the Midsummer Witches Market in Guelph yesterday! It was wonderful meeting so many talented local artisans and makers while networking for HADES Rescue.

One of our favourite finds was this absolutely stunning Hades candle from Wanderer's Candles. As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to bring it home! Between the gorgeous design, the Cerberus charm, and the name itself, it felt like it was made for us. 🕯️🐺

It also sparked a wonderful conversation about HADES Rescue and the work we do for huskies in need, and we’re so excited to have connected with another passionate local small business.

We’re always looking to partner with amazing local businesses that want to make a difference for rescue dogs, and we have a feeling this is just the beginning. 🐺🖤

HADES Rescue is working overtime to save two huskies at risk, but before they can safely enter rescue we need to raise funds for their veterinary care and food.

From June 26th to July 3rd, Smokin’ Bones will donate 15% of its sales to help these dogs reach safety.

🚨URGENT: Mika Scheduled For Euthanasia June 28th

Over the past few days, HADES Rescue made the decision to step up for Kaija, a husky facing euthanasia.

Now, we have been contacted about another husky facing euthanasia on June 28th.

The heartbreaking reality is that rescue is not limited by foster homes right now. Our community is incredible, and we know foster offers would likely come forward.

Our biggest obstacle is funding.

Every dog we save requires veterinary care, vaccinations, food, supplies, transportation, and often additional medical expenses. While our commitment to helping dogs is unwavering, we must ensure we can responsibly provide the care they deserve.

Right now, HADES Rescue urgently needs donations and fundraising support to:
🐾 Cover Kaija’s pre-intake medical expenses
🐾 Raise the emergency funds needed to save this second husky
🐾 Ensure both dogs receive the care and safety they deserve

We don’t want to turn away a dog whose life is hanging in the balance because of a lack of funds.

🚨 50/50 FOR KAIJA 🚨

Just days ago, Kaija’s future looked heartbreaking.

This sweet 11-year-old senior’s owner passed away and she was only days away from euthanasia before we stepped in.

The good news? ❤️

When we put out an urgent call for help, our community showed up. Kaija now has a loving foster home waiting for her.

The final hurdle is funding.

Before we can intake Kaija, we need to raise the funds to cover her overdue vaccines and arthritis medication so she can be comfortable, safe, and properly cared for.

Estimated Medical Cost: $800
Funds raised will go toward:
• Veterinary exam
• Full blood panel
• Updated vaccinations
• Arthritis medication

That’s why we’re launching a 50/50 Draw for Kaija!
