Let's talk about ticks. Unfortunately, ticks are well established in our region and you don’t need long grass, trees or shrubs to encounter them. It is warm out now and the ticks have woken up 😫 Keep your furry children happy and healthy by getting your pets a tick prevention and also checking your pets over HEAD to TOE on a regular basis ❤ (check yourself too while you're at it!)

**update**
George has been adopted and we are so happy for him!
Thank you to everyone who shared his post to help get the word out. 💕

George – 2 years old – not neutered
George is an energetic and happy boy who is eager to please. George’s owners unfortunately moved back to the UK before they were able to find him a new home.
George is a repeat client of ours and has been left in our care to buy Danielle (his dog walker) some time to try to find him a home, but he has an appointment to be admitted to the shelter on April 23rd.😢Danielle is working closely with Last Minute Dog Rescue to find George a foster home until he finds his forever home.
- George has no underlying health issues and is fully vaccinated.
- He has been socialized with other dogs on our daycare social program in the past with no issues.
- George’s leash manners could use some work, especially if he spots a squirrel or rabbit.
- He loves to play with a ball and he LOVES treats. Seems like he would do anything for a snack!😂
- He is house trained.
- Not cat tested.
- Never lived with children, but no reason to believe there would be an issue.

Clovelly Kennels is collecting monetary donations for our local Grimsby Walk for Guide Dogs May 25th at the Canadian Tire Plaza in Grimsby. Clovelly Kennels has always been proud to participate in this event.

We are so happy to announce that Rico has found his forever home. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible by spreading the word. You are all appreciated so much!

Rico – 7 years old – male – neutered
Rico is a very good and quiet boy – so well behaved and full of love. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rico’s owners have to move and are unable to take him with them. Rico has been staying with us for the last 4 weeks and we have absolutely fallen in love with him.
- Rico has no underlying health issues.
- He adores being close to his person and loves belly rubs.
- Has been introduced to both large and small breed dogs with no issues.
- Not too interested in playing with toys or other dogs. Just happy to nap nearby.
- Does well on a leash.
- Great in the car
- House trained.
Rico is unfortunately NOT friendly with cats.
