*Urgently seeking best friend for life (to save his life)*
This beautiful big boy is Magic Mike! He has a great wiggle butt with all the moves to make you want him as your wingman and best bud in life!
Magic Mike's time was up at an overcrowded local shelter as more and more big dogs are being abandoned. We had tried to network him, but as all rescues are full already with big dogs, he had no options left. This guy is just a pup himself, estimated to be about 1 year old and we could not let his story end... but he is still very much in need.
We bought him a bit more time so we could get him shared a ton to find him his foster home! And yes, if you fall in love while fostering and you qualify for adoption, you can make this guy yours! But first, we need to find his person/people.
What we know (limited as we only assessed him at the shelter and have no history):
❣️Mastiff mix, about 1 year old, appears healthy.
❣️Strong guy, pulls on leash. Could use a country space or a fenced yard in the city for private time to work on his leash training without street distractions.
❣️He has been friendly meeting well-balanced dogs. No aggression shown, but he would need slow introductions due to his size. He cannot be cat-tested, so no cats, please, unless you are committed to separating him.
❣️His love language is quality cuddle time and wiggles.
❣️We can arrange a meet and greet with a matched and screened foster applicant before Magic Mike goes home.
This guy does not have a lot of time as he is stressed in a kennel environment, which is unfair to him. We are absolutely doing our best to find him a well matched placement. We are hoping to find a foster in or around the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
