💛 Local Golden Feature: Jeeves 💛

Please allow us to introduce Jeeves 🐾— golden boy, world traveller, former agility competitor, avid swimmer, snow lover, and absolute champion.

Born in England in 2014, Jeeves has spent his life bringing joy everywhere he goes. Before moving to Canada, he was an international agility competitor, local best friend, and the kind of dog people would happily “borrow” whenever his family went on holiday.

Since arriving in Canada, he’s discovered a love of snow to match his love of swimming — although he still tries to sneak in the occasional freezing winter dip if given the chance.

In 2024, Jeeves was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had to have one of his hind legs amputated. His family was told they may only have a few months left with him. Instead, Jeeves did what Goldens do best: he kept going with joy, determination, and a whole lot of heart.

After surgery, chemotherapy, and later another cancer diagnosis that led to the removal of one eye, Jeeves is still here — thriving, adventuring, and loving life.

His story is one of resilience, love, and choosing every extra day together.

We can’t wait to celebrate Jeeves and so many other incredible Goldens at Golden Tails Gathering this September in Golden, BC.
