Indy enjoying some snuggles from one of his kids 🥰

Its so hard to belive this is the last week of lessons for the season and I couldnt be more thankful. Im so thankful for all my amazing students, parent's and ofcourse our amazing horses 🐎

I have loved watching all the kiddos pick what they wanted to do for their last lesson of the season.
From riding ba****ck, painting, scavenger hunts, brushing, ground work (with Dusty!) and even barn work, each kiddo had so much fun!

Im so proud of all my students, their knowledge, confidence, balance in the saddle and ofcourse out of the saddle.

Spruce Rock Ranch has grown so much
this year, from returning students to our new students and the start up of Saddle up and learn, it has been an incredible year 👏 🥰

I hope everyone has an amazing winter and the ponies cant wait to see the kiddos in the spring!

JP has p**ped! After 37 hours of waiting JP has finally p**ped 🙏

She's very happy to finally be able to start eating again. We still have a night ahead of us but we are now on the winning side!

Thank you to everyone who sent love her way, she is very special to us and she means so much to the kids ❤️

Update on JP:

She does have an impaction (she cant p**p), we had the vet out again and she got another dose of mineral oil.

She has p**ped but not the p**p we want but she is in good spirits 🥰 hopefully things will get moving so we can have a good sleep tonight

For the rest of the week there will be no riding- So we will have other activities planned in the barn😊

JP had an impaction this morning and possibly a bit of choke. She is doing better but we are waiting to hopefully see if she will pass her bowels ok.

For the next few days she will be in the barn so we can keep an eye on her. She always loves her treats but these next few days she isent able to have them.

Wednesday lessons we will do something a bit different as JP will be resting 😊

Happy Spooky season everyone!
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

Just a few notes:

I will be CLOSED October 24th as I will be celebrating my 30th birthday. I will send a message out to all my Saturday lessons

Secondly I will shut down for the season at the end of this month. My last lessons will be Saturday October 31st, the last week of lessons we will be doing our fun lessons. Ill be asking each parent/kid what their favorite thing was throughout the whole season and thats what we will do.

Lastly I want to thank all my students/parents, this year has been incredible! I couldn't do what I do without you 🥰

Wow! Where did the summer go??

Since this is the last week of summer break, I will be CLOSED Saturday September 5th and Monday September 7th.

I will also send a message to my Monday and Saturday lessons :)

I hope everyone has had a great summer break and soaks in as much summer this last week/ weekend!!

I also want to address the case of Equine EVH at the Sussex fair, if you have been around horses prior to coming to me for a lesson. Please make sure you wash your hands and change clothes. We want to keep all our animals safe 😊

Looking for a fun and hands-on activity for your child?
Join us for a special horse experience where children will:
✨ Learn about horses and how to safely interact with them
🧹 Help with real barn chores and discover what it takes to care for horses
🐎 Learn how to ride! Hop on for a ride around the arena, no worries if your child is to nervous we can spend that time brushing
🐴 Meet and spend time with our friendly horses
🎨 Finish the day by painting a horse with washable, horse-safe paint for a colorful and memorable experience!

This is perfect for young animal lovers who want to learn, explore, and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment. Build confidence and learn something new

No horse experience is necessary—just wear clothes (boots or sneakers are welcome ) you don't mind getting a little messy and come ready for a great time at the barn! 🐴

This is a very limited program with only one event running per month.

This is a 2 hour session, minimum 13 kids maximum 16, open for kids aged 6-13 (with exceptions)
