We would like to thank this lady for 25 years this year! Lorene graduated tech school in 1998 and joined the EVC team in 2001. Since then she has become a wealth of knowledge for all of us. Give her a shout out next time you’re in the clinic!

It is with mixed emotions that we share some important news with our clinic family.

At the end of this month, Dr. Megan Russnak and Dr. Mallory Goodmanson will be leaving our team as they embark on new chapters in their lives.

While we are excited for the opportunities and adventures ahead of them, we are also incredibly sad to see them go. Both Dr. Russnak and Dr. Goodmanson have made a lasting impact on our clinic, our patients, and the families we have the privilege of serving. Their compassion, dedication, expertise, and genuine care for animals have touched countless lives, and they will be greatly missed by both our team and our clients.

Please join us in wishing Mallory and Megan all the very best as they begin this new journey. We are grateful for everything they have contributed to our clinic and know they will continue to make a positive difference wherever they go.

Found a tick? 🕷️

Before you put it in a baggie and head to the clinic, try eTick!

Simply submit a photo through the free eTick app or at eTick.ca and receive a species identification from experts, along with information about any potential public health or veterinary risks associated with that tick.

A common misconception is that finding a tick means your pet’s flea and tick prevention isn’t working. In fact, most tick preventatives work after the tick attaches and begins to feed. That means it is completely normal to occasionally find a tick on a protected pet. The medication’s job is to kill the tick before it can transmit disease.

By submitting ticks through eTick, you’re helping track tick populations across Canada while also getting fast, reliable information without needing to make a trip to the clinic.

To all producers who are currently or soon to be calving/lambing/kidding all colostrums are now on backorder. We recommend saving some from your own animals and freezing it for future use. We do not recommend using frozen colostrum from other farms as it can introduce pathogens your animals may be naive to. If you have any questions about colostrum please give us a call!
