We're one of the largest Gypsy Cob ranches in Canada. River Lane Ranch is owned and operated by the Baird family. The ranch is located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan river in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. They breed, train and show Gypsy Cob horses. They strive for excellence and the traditional Gypsy Cob type thats been bred in England by the Romany Gypsies for hundreds of years. There is occ

There are so many discussions that happen amongst us all, after each of our foals are born.

Foaling season - aka - exhausted season. 🤪

Thankfully we have a big family who all takes on a huge roll when it comes to foaling season.

There are many sleepless nights, lots of group text chats, and only a few of the occasional mental breakdown. 😂

We love this season, and meeting all our new babies is 💯 worth it, but don’t forget to hug a rancher this spring.

Whether it’s cattle, horses, lambs or any livestock.. they are all working really hard this time of year. ❤️

Our Story

River Lane Ranch is owned and operated by the Baird family. The ranch is located in North East Edmonton, just outside of Sherwood Park Alberta.

They breed, train and show traditional Gypsy Cob horses. Several of their horses are also a part of a Healing With Horses program that’s provided at the ranch in the form of ranch tours and/or one on one private sessions.
