Just two adorable bonded kittens dreaming of their forever home. Jojaba and Sweetpea are two very sweet kittens. Jojo the purrfect mix of cuddly and independent, while Sweetpea is like her namesake. Extra sweet. She is a velcro kitten who loves to chill on laps. Both still have kitten energy and love to play, especially with each other. If your looking for two bonded affectionate and playful kittens, check these two out.

Orion and Ayva are two recent returns who were returned because Ayva was too cuddly and too needy when she needed to study. Orion was perfect in that she is independent and happy to do her own thing, but since these two are bonded, they both came back into care. It's heartbreaking when cats are returned for things that the adopter does know (Ayva is a world class velcro cat). But we are committed to helping these two stunning senior ladies find their true forever home! Stay tuned for them to go up for adoption in the coming weeks.

We cannot stress the importance of daily teeth brushing and dental checkups for your cats and dogs! Dental cleanings may seem expensive and not necessary, but extractions are far more costly! Not only that, but bad teeth can make your pet stop eating, and if your pet is a senior, it may be too high of a risk for anesthesia. Every cat and dog over 5 years old tend to have dental issues, so be sure to take your pet for a dental check up. (Often its free!).

Ivy (Courtesy Post) | Female | Mixed Breed |

Rescue Story:
Ivy's current family adores her, but their growing responsibilities make it challenging to provide the time, exercise, and attention a dog of her size and energy needs. They want Ivy to find a loving home where she can thrive with the care and engagement she deserves.

As a courtesy post Zoe's has not met "Ivy". We facilitate the adoption behind the scenes to ensure a safe rehoming. We ensure the animal is up to date on vet care, spayed/neutered, and is assessed by one of our partner trainers - Zoe's does not personally know the animal. It is the adopters' responsibility to do their due diligence - ask for vet records, behavioural assessment, microchip information, and/or a trial period.

Date of Birth: December 10, 2019 (est)

Energy Level: Medium - Ivy has mellowed with age but still enjoys playful moments

Size (adult): Large (approx 70lbs)

Adoption Fee: $425 What a deal for this gorgeous gal!

Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
Ivy requires slow introductions and would thrive best as the only pet in the home.
Good with Cats? No
Ivy has a prey drive and may chase cats.
Good with Kids? No
Ivy would do best in a home without young children.
Critter Twitter:

Ivy is a sweet, sensitive, and strikingly beautiful German Shepherd/Border Collie mix with a radiant smile, stunning coat colors, and charming floppy ears. She’s a smart, eager-to-please dog who loves learning new tricks and engaging in mentally stimulating activities. Ivy’s favorite pastimes include playing chase in the backyard and snuggling with her favorite people. She’s a loyal companion who flourishes in a calm, predictable environment and would love a home that offers plenty of games and mental enrichment. While Ivy may need time to adjust to new surroundings, her affectionate nature and devotion make her a truly rewarding companion.

About my Behaviour:

Ivy is fully house-trained and responds well to a consistent routine and quiet home. She can be vocal and weary when meeting new people and may experience anxiety in busy or unpredictable settings, so a quiet home without shared walls is ideal. She can be reactive at the window and in the yard. Her current family is committed to facilitating multiple meet-and-greets to ensure a smooth transition to her new home and to support her socialization progress.

How’s my Health?

Ivy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped, ensuring she’s ready to join her forever home in excellent health.

Suzy would do well in a home with another dog friend or with active humans that would be able to exercise her both physically and mentally as she is super smart and playful and can get bored easily. She has been around kids, they will just need to be mindful of her as she is very mouthy during play. Cats are still an unknown.

Suzy loves to chew on a good bone or toy. She likes to play tug and fetch. If bored she will chew things she shouldn’t. She loves to dig in the dirt. Suzy does excellent in the car, she is great on walks, she does well in the crate when we go out, and she is fully house trained. She enjoys laying in the rocking chair basking up the sun.

Adding Suzy to your home will surely provide a super affectionate and cuddly friend. A friend who became a mama young so she is making up for lost puppy time now. She loves to play like a puppy and sometimes be a little naughty like one. She is super smart, she is very agile. She can jump quite high. She is mouthy when she plays and when she’s excited. She really is super sweet and lovely.

Kitten Lira Pate came in to our care two days ago with a leg that had been badly broken and healed into a lumpy twisted limb that has to be removed. Now she is a brave tri-pawed - learning that people are safe, pain meds are the best and rocking her sock sweater that keeps her warm and also helps cover her incision.

Our Story

Founded in Edmonton, Alberta in 2012 - Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society has quickly become a respected non profit that works across provincial and national borders to do as much good as possible. We have adopted out close to 3,000 animals. We take in stray and surrendered animals and can provide courtesy posts for helping rehome pets. We also offer supportive programs such as SNR (Spay Neuter Return), Helping Hand low cost veterinary care and Community Pet Food Sharing to provide support to low-income families and marginalized communities. Our goal is to match each of our foster animals with the home that is perfect for them. Our in-depth adoption process was developed with that in mind and has resulted in a less than 4% return rate. Our fosters are more just animals to us. They are a cherished life, each with a story and a desire to love and be loved. Our fosters do not leave our hearts once their adoption is finalized and our adopters become part of our family. Our door (or inbox) is always open for questions, updates, or, of course, photos. Once a Zoe’s animal, always a Zoe’s animal.
