Citrine Gemstone | Female | Tabby Gal (DSH) |

Rescue Story:
My mom was an owned cat who got out, and her owner needed help to find us homes once we were old enough. Mom was spayed, so no more litters, and we are all now ready for forever homes.

Date of Birth: August 2025

Energy Level: Very High

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee: $350 for my brother Beryl and I.

Good with Dogs? Unknown
Never met one, so not sure.
Good with Cats? Bonded Pair
I love to play with Beryl and we always call out to each other if we can't find each other.
Good with Kids? Yes
Kids who are gentle with me, I am great with.
Critter Twitter:

I am a high-energy, cuddly girl who loves to play and play. I love to play with my brother and with toys. I have a small, delicate frame with very pretty markings. I am an agile jumper and I love to jump and run. I love to follow you around, and whatever you are doing, I want in on it. Once tired, I am generally always by you or on you, my nonstop purring motor.

About my Behaviour:

I must be adopted with my brother Beryl, as we are quite bonded. I will call out for him constantly if I can't see him, and he will come running. We are good with other cat-friendly cats with slow, proper introductions. Especially if they are young and like to play.

I also am very attention-seeking and require a lot of cuddle time and playtime. If you are looking for a Velcro kitty, that's me! It just might take a few months for me to really show you my big heart. But I am well worth the wait!

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, microchipped, and dewormed. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Wet food is important, as it's best for kitties, so please make sure it's in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also gives added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, which can lead to UTIs. I do have a sensitive stomach, and a sensitive diet, and slow transitions to any new food are a must for me.

Critter Twitter:

I am a big clumsy kitty who will make you laugh with my antics. I am very much a go-with-the-flow type kitten with a teddy bear personality. I may not be a lap cat, but I am often near you and always sleeping at your feet. I don't mind the smell! I am a fun-loving boy who you will fall madly in love with. I have a nice warm-toned tabby colouring and thicker fur. Though not likely a longhair, I should have a bit longer fur than most shorthairs. I can't wait to meet you.

About my Behaviour:

I must be adopted with my sister Citrine, as we hate being apart. We are great with cat-friendly cats with slow, proper introductions.

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. Eleni Taxon | Female | Box Kitty (DSH) |

Rescue Story:
I was found in a box with my mom and other siblings in Edmonton. The box was closed but thankfully a kind person opened the box and rescued us. I am now ready for my forever home.

Date of Birth: September 2025

Energy Level: High

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee: $225

Good with Dogs? No
I am scared of dogs.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must have a young very cat friendly cat buddy who will help me relax in my new home.
Good with Kids? Maybe
I am quite shy and jump at noises or fast movements. Older shy cat savvy kids only, if any.
Critter Twitter:

I'm a bit timid at first, but I'm a sweetheart once I settle in. I'm pretty chill and not as crazy as some kittens. I really enjoy cuddles when I'm tired. It might take some time for me to fully relax, but I'm worth the wait, and the special moments we share will be amazing. I'm a sweet girl who may have been discarded, but as they say, one man's trash is another's treasure.

About my Behaviour:

I am quite shy and I need a calm, quiet home that will let me settle in. Please understand that we won't be instant buddies but in time we could be besties as I am quite sweet once settled in.

I must be adopted to a home with another young cat friendly cat who is confident but won't be a bully. One who would help with my confidence. I could also be adopted with my sister if you have no other young kitties. I would not be ok as an only kitty as another feline would really help build my confidence.

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, microchipped, and dewormed. The number of vaccines will depend on the length of care. I need at least one meal of wet food daily for hydration. Wet food is essential for kitties, so please ensure it's included in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also provides added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, potentially leading to UTIs.

Our Story

Founded in Edmonton, Alberta in 2012 - Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society has quickly become a respected non profit that works across provincial and national borders to do as much good as possible. We have adopted out close to 3,000 animals. We take in stray and surrendered animals and can provide courtesy posts for helping rehome pets. We also offer supportive programs such as SNR (Spay Neuter Return), Helping Hand low cost veterinary care and Community Pet Food Sharing to provide support to low-income families and marginalized communities. Our goal is to match each of our foster animals with the home that is perfect for them. Our in-depth adoption process was developed with that in mind and has resulted in a less than 4% return rate. Our fosters are more just animals to us. They are a cherished life, each with a story and a desire to love and be loved. Our fosters do not leave our hearts once their adoption is finalized and our adopters become part of our family. Our door (or inbox) is always open for questions, updates, or, of course, photos. Once a Zoe’s animal, always a Zoe’s animal.
