Great dogs + great people = an amazing weekend of stock dog trials!

It’s a whirlwind of a week with lessons, workshop, practices, camping but is so worth the Monday herding hangover!

It takes a village to put one of these on and we have a great one!

Thanks to Paws in the Pasture, Gerri & Cindy for organizing the trial and all that goes with that.

To our fabulous judges, Linda Bell, who travelled from Washington, Jacqui Weiss from B.C. and Brandy-Lee Fazlic from Alberta for their fair and honest judging and giving great advice when needed.

Elizabeth, our show secretary, who keeps everyone organized and on track, we thank you!

Our stock handlers Rylan, Sheldon and Karin, we couldn’t do it without you! This is the hardest job of the trial and you were all amazing!

Alicia, our concession and cook. wow! Thank you for keeping us fed and watered! Fabulous job!

To all the volunteers who step up when asked to lend a hand. Sandra (our multitasking timer) Tammy, Ricki, Darcy, Brandi and to anyone who I may have forgotten, we couldn’t be successful without you.

To the dogs and their people, thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to the sheep.

The sheep deserve a round of applause as well as they put up with our crazy sport!

📅 Wednesday
• Regular lesson day

📅 Thursday
• Trial Preparedness Workshop
• Open to all levels
• No need to be entered in the trial to participate
• Great opportunity to polish skills and build confidence before competition

📅 Friday
• Trial practice on non-trial sheep
• Perfect chance to fine-tune runs and get some extra experience

📅 Saturday & Sunday
• AHBA & CKC Sanctioned Arena Trials
• Sheep classes
