Andrew is a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behaviour Collage and plenty of experience with all breeds of dogs through working with various shelters and his own rescue foster dogs. He believes in and practices positive reinforcement training. This method is treat and praise based and does not use fear or pa

in to train a dog. A dog should do a behaviour because they want to, not because they are afraid if they don't! Andrew will create a training plan that is tailored around your dogs unique needs. His goal is to create a fun and enjoyable experience for you and your dog. Further, he aims to not only produce well trained and happy dogs, but to reinforce the bond between owner and dog as well as to create a clear form of communication between the two. Andrew enjoys teaches basic obedience but he also loves helping dogs with behavioural issues. That is where he makes the most difference as helping families work through their dog's behavioural issues helps keeps dogs out of shelters and in their forever homes. Mallory handles the books and is the training centre's go to for dog nutritional advice! Andrew and Mallory are also certified in Pet First Aid through Walks n Wags

Its our favourite time of year! We have started collecting donations for our 8th Annual Charity Drive! This year we have once again chosen to support one of our favourite rescues ! So please bring in donations of new or excellent used condition items like slow feeders, leashes, toys, treats, and food, and let's fill this table so dogs awaiting their furever home can be spoiled this Christmas!

We will be accepting donations from December 1st to 21st.

We are so thrilled to be joining WnW for their annual Charity Drive. They have been putting this on for 14 years now!

We are proud to be supporting HugABull once again this year. When it comes to rescue, HugABull sets the standard that all rescues should strive to meet. HugABull is an ethical rescue that truly understands their dogs and their needs, the value of training, and the importance of thoroughly vetting and selecting the absolute right family for the dogs in their care. Lucky us, we have even had the pleasure of having some of their dogs stay with us at our location - and they have all been wonderful!

As if they couldn't get any better, HugABull also supports dog owners by offering free monthly training sessions with a certified R+ trainer, as well as their collar exchange program. The Collar Exchange Program allows you to exchange your aversive collars (shock, choke, prong) for a free Freedom Harness to support owners in their choice to train humanely with science-based methods. AMAZING! This is all alongside their community outreach and education projects, and free spay/neuter clinics.

Today, we’re showcasing some hilarious faces we’ve caught on camera! 📸💗

First up, Ollie, flaunting his adorable flying ears!

You all know the legendary Dixie “teefs”—a signature look she rocks during belly rub sessions!

Then there’s Bella the Frenchie, sporting the classic “stuck-lip-on-teeth” grin.

A big congratulations is in order for GH Country's Shift Lead and Trainer Damara for achieving her CPDT-KA. Damara has been with Good Hound since 2023 and has grown SO much; from handler to shift lead then entering a dog trainer mentorship under Trainer Rachel and then with Head Trainer Andrew. Now here she is with her Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Foundations and Puppy Start Right, NoseWork Instructor Certified, and now her CPDT-KA!

Everyone please join us in wishing Pearla a very happy 13th birthday! 🥰💗

Pearla is the heart and soul of our senior daycare crew! Don’t let her age fool you; she’s always up for a rumble with her furry friends! Pearla is also the daycare referee, ensuring playtime is safe for all. She’s a big fan of our hammock beds, especially when they provide the perfect back rub as she wiggles around—it’s the cutest thing ever! Pearla is such a sweet and loving pup, always ready to share her wisdom with everyone, even the handlers! We love you so much, Pearla, and we’re so glad you spent your special day with us! Fergus can’t wait to get to daycare, and we cherish our morning one-on-one time with him. Nowadays, he’s a big cuddle bug, soaking up all the love.
