Good Hound Training & Daycareis owned and operated by Mallory and Andrew Richards. Andrew is a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behaviour Collage and plenty of experience with all breeds of dogs through working with various shelters and his own rescue foster dogs. He believes in and practices positive reinforcement training. This method is treat and praise based and does not use fear or pa

in to train a dog. A dog should do a behaviour because they want to, not because they are afraid if they don't! Andrew will create a training plan that is tailored around your dogs unique needs. His goal is to create a fun and enjoyable experience for you and your dog. Further, he aims to not only produce well trained and happy dogs, but to reinforce the bond between owner and dog as well as to create a clear form of communication between the two. Andrew enjoys teaches basic obedience but he also loves helping dogs with behavioural issues. That is where he makes the most difference as helping families work through their dog's behavioural issues helps keeps dogs out of shelters and in their forever homes. Mallory handles the books and is the training centre's go to for dog nutritional advice! Andrew and Mallory are also certified in Pet First Aid through Walks n Wags

Thank you for another wonderful Pet Expo! We were honoured to attend and sponsor again this year. It was a beautiful (and hot!) day to connect with our dog loving community💕 And it's always SO great to see and chat with our Good Hound Family. Our hearts are full!

It's going to be a beautiful day for the Ladner Pet Expo tomorrow! Be sure to stop at our friend Elaine's Canine Cookies + Cakes Starbucks for some tasty treats and come see us at our booth ( #7!). We are giving away a limited amount of discounted grooming sessions and groups training classes!
And it's all for a great cause!

Come and check out our Starbarks Canine Cafe! This year instead of my booth, we're setting up a cafe setting for your pups to enjoy! FREE beverages ( Water, my homemade Beef broth and Turkey broth) plus my special treats - no charge!!! I'll also have a custom canine sundae bar. For a Toonie, you get to choose from several topping for my banana peanut butter "ice cream" All sales go towards the Tollie fund! Enter your pups in the various dog games - I have yummy prizes for the winners of each game! Weather is gonna be perfect, so make a point of coming out to enjoy this awesome family day!

While yogi is such a gentle and loving boy he’s got the funniest game faces that never fail to make us laugh. Yogi has such a wonderful personality that always brings great joy into the daycare space! We love you so much Yogi, it was an honour to celebrate you on your special day! Everyone join us in wishing a very happy 7th birthday to Gus! 🎉
Fun fact: Gus is our handler Sarah’s pup, and he’s been a regular at daycare these past few months. Since joining us, he’s really come out of his shell, and his playful, goofy side has blossomed! Gus, you are such a silly and tolerant boy. We love watching you play with your little sister Bean and be the best big brother. Thank you for bringing yummy snacks for everyone on your special day❤️
