๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸชปAt our latest Garden Buddies meetup, Garden Buddy Mentor Sharon led a hands-on session on flower pounding, a simple and creative way to transfer natural colors and shapes from flowers and leaves onto fabric and paper.

We started with a walk through the garden to find suitable materials, then got to work experimenting with different techniques and textures. It was the perfect mix of creativity, fresh air, and good company!

Big thanks to Sharon for sharing her skills and guiding us through the process!

We're so proud to see the real impact of the Earthwise Harvest Box program featured in this United Way BC story! ๐Ÿ’š

Every Friday, Don and Jessie each receive a box of fresh, locally grown vegetables. For these seniors this weekly delivery supported by the United Way BC Delta Food Hub and Earthwise Society, in partnership with Project DASH from DoorDash Impact, a Food Link by United Way BC initiative, has been life changing.

Our Story

Earthwise is a resource on ecological gardening, a model of best practice for sustainable horticulture, and a public space where the community connects with nature. The Earthwise Society operates the Earthwise Garden and Certified Organic Farm in the Boundary Bay neighbourhood of Delta, and the Earthwise Certified Organic Farm in Agassiz. Both communities are located in British Columbia, Canada.

We put people of all ages in touch with the earth, from grade school children learning about soil, biodiversity, wildlife stewardship and resource conservation; to adults learning about ecological gardening, composting and growing food. The Earthwise Garden demonstrates that it is possible to have a healthy, sustainable, beautiful landscape without the use of chemicals. The Earthwise Certified Organic Farm puts the community in touch with food, where it comes from, how it grows, the ecological costs of getting it to our tables, and the importance of sustainable organic growing practices.
