HENRY has now been surrendered to Rescue.
If anyone would like to Foster him or just come visit him that would be great
He can only go to a home with no other animals as him being partially blind and deaf, he is vulnerable. I can't put with our other dogs. It makes me sad as our other dogs all have a buddy or two.
He is the sweetest little guy and in a ideal world, I would be bringing in my house with my 5 other dogs but
my dogs are good with other dogs unless they growl or snap and one of their critter siblings. It's not safe for Henry.

I'm leaving this up for awhile, as I miss my Dad everyday and he gives me my strength to keep going with Rescue.

My DAD is my Hero. For those of you who didn't see my past posts about him, he was a great animal lover. He raised world top Retriever that was compared to Wayne Gretzky, in Canine World.
Most of the guidelines I go by for dog rescue, is what I learnt from my Dad. He was the best!!
Dad was much like me and had tunnel vision when he wanted to do something. I was so lucky to have such a great role model.
Before he died, he gave us kids a talking. He said to me... Debbie, I'm not worried about you, your like a god dam cat... You will always land on your feet.
I remember that when I feel ready to give up. I won't let you down Dad
love you and miss you. ❤️
I know you are guiding me as I struggle sometimes in Dog Rescue.

I just had a comment that they doubt this will happen, I think meaning Jelly Roll will cancel.
Don't worry, IF that does happen, I will make this a 50 50 draw..

Very True. Rescues are not God with unlimited funds and volunteers
Lots are run on our own money and donations. Bigger ones get some funds from Government.
I feel Government should offer "free " spay and neuter for all Rescues and low income people. This way we could help people get dogs fixed and slow the unwanted pregnancies.

We are doing this because we love animals and are doing what we can. People need to remember that and stop getting mad at us if we are full. We are doing what most people would never do. Having a Rescue is not for the weak. It can be very stressful, so please offer a hand or donation as we are doing what many won't.

For anyone who remembers GUS our Big C**n Hound WOOF!!
We just got some update pictures. :)
He was here over 2 years and his original (from birth) owner recognized him on our FB page. Up until then they had no idea GUS wasn't at home he was adopted to.

It was such a heartfelt reunion and GUS is back home and very loved.

Meet REX
Rex is 2 years old, border collie x German shepherd mix as we are told. He isn’t neutered but up to date with his shots. He has no bite history but doesn’t do well with other pets. Very cautious around strangers might bark and/or lunge if they get too close. He gets too excited around kids so preferably not around very young kids. He is kennel and house trained. He will stand and keep nudging at the door if he needs to go.
