Time to get things rolling again ! It's been a long few months without having any of my tanks going , besides my goldfish tank , the only ones that survived the move sadly 😭
With that being said , Here's an adorable little baby ..

March 18TH Update

We received male giant koi bettas from Thailand last week. The giant bettas are selectively bred taking the largest males and breeding with the largest females, and repeating over and over and over. With time, the selective breeding results in bettas that grow up to 6-7 inches (twice the size of regular bettas). Previously, most giant bettas were two toned. Now, they are available as multi-colour plakats and other developments continue!

💫Lucky Bamboo The Aquatic House Plant, You can Plant It In soil, or Keep It In A Fish Bowl, With Aquarium Rocks, like I Made tonight, Or You Can Add It Into Your Fish Tank But The Upper Top Part, Where New Shoots Grow , Has To Be Above The Water In Order To Stay Alive, As you Can See In The Video, I've Started To Make A Few Clippings Of Them, Plus One Of The kids Got A Hold Of Them 😬🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣🤣

💥What is special about koi fish?

Koi is one of the strongest living creatures in the water, and can swim vigorously even in a cold pond. They are also large and sturdy, which may be why they look so tough compared to other fish. Because of their size and ability to live a long life, they have become a symbol of good luck and health.

💥What do koi fish eat?

In the wild, koi fish eat algae, plants, insects, worms, seeds, and anything they can stir up from the pond's bottom. They hunt along the pond floor and along the surface. If you have an ecosystem pond, they can continue having their natural diet.

💥Will koi mate with goldfish?

Both koi and goldfish can be beautiful and they come in a variety of colors. Koi will breed with the goldfish. Some of the baby fish (fry) will be born brown or grey and may turn orange as they get older. These fish will not be pure koi, something that doesn't really matter unless you are really into koi!

💥How can you tell if a koi fish is male or female?

There are two main indicators of s*x in koi. The easiest way to tell is from fin shape and color. Male koi have smaller, more pointed fins that are opaque and generally colorful. Female koi, on the other hand, have larger, rounded fins that are partly or completely translucent or even transparent.

💥Do koi like cold water?

Koi are cold-water fish but thrive in water temperatures between 59-77 degrees Fahrenheit. Because their metabolism reacts to the temperature of the water that they live in, you'll want to be sure your pond has both shallow areas as well as spaces that are deep enough so it does not freeze to the bottom.
