Both senior mares from Dawson Creek area.
Both consigned to the auction as broodmares in a horrifically neglected state. Both infested with parasites and lice. Both had zero muscle and a scabby lice ridden coat in subzero temperatures. Valentina February 2023 and Billie February 2025.
All it took was parasite management and proper feed. Both consigned by lowlife backyard breeders.

My neighbours are turning the hay in the fields today and they sent me this picture of Lil’Stuey eyeballin’ them 👀😅
This morning I loaded 70 bales onto my truck, 3 separate trips, into the barn and stacked before leaving for work at 1 🥴 Approx. 3100 pounds of beautiful hay.
Thank you Jennifer for doing the morning chores and feeding so I could get as much loaded as possible 🤗Also, thank you so much for sponsoring Rupert’s regular sessions with a trainer. He was such a good student this morning ✏️🚌

Hay is being cut on our very own fields 🥹 so exciting to be able to produce feed for our horses.
It’s been a whirlwind of a weekend with the two day garage sale and now haying the fields (thanks to our neighbour 😁). We can fit approximately 180 bales in our hayloft.
This morning Freddy the 14 year old cat went into the vet early AM for thyroid level recheck after his hyperthyroid got a bit elevated.
I had two more 1100 pound bales of hay delivered this morning from Island Grass thank you 🙏
Once the hay is cut, I will be setting up a round pen in the pasture for exercising Barbie and Walter. They need 20-30 mins of cardio a couple times a week if they are going to go on grass with the rest of the herd. Total vet bills for this month are approx. 3700$ if we get the low end of the quote for Daize’s dental 🙈.
Thanks to the recent donation from The Cranky Vegan this month I’m able to purchase more fencing for the round pen even though it’s a big month for vet bills 🙌

We have so much stuff we are having a second sale tomorrow 9am to 1pm 🤗
