PAWS - Creston Pet Adoption & Welfare Society Pets that have been lost, found, or are looking for a new forever home will be posted on both the PAWS FB page and website.

PAWS is a volunteer-based no-kill shelter in the Creston Valley dedicated to 1) finding loving homes for abandoned, rescued, surrendered, and abused pets and 2) educating the public through community outreach. We provide veterinary care, rehabilitation, socialization, and spaying or neutering as required. Community outreach is achieved through education, re-homing assistance, and reuniting lost pe

As people who've been following her know, Nemy's "good" leg went lame and her TPLO repair had to be moved ahead. Unfortunately, her "good" leg now needs the same repair in 4 to 6 weeks, when she can weight bear on her repaired leg.

Although our costs to help this girl live a full, healthy life have doubled, we know we aren't going to be able to raise that kind of money, so we're sticking with our goal of $4000.

Donations have been trickling in, but we're nowhere near our goal. Please consider helping PAWS navigate this unexpected financial cost.

We're having a hotdog fundraiser for Nemy on Sat. August 15, from 11 to 3 at Pealow’s Your Independent Grocer.

NEMY UPDATE

This sweet, uncomplaining girl reached a critical stage and her surgery could no longer wait because her "good" leg could no longer support her injured leg.

She now needs the same surgery in 4 to 6 weeks on her other knee, now not able to bear her weight.

This means that our fundraising goal has gone up significantly. It's a huge financial hit for an organization that relies on donations, fundraising, and grants, but we won't entertain the "easy" option.

Any amount you can spare would be deeply appreciated.
