We are open regular hours for the rest of the week until 5pm on Friday! This weekend we will be closed from May 17-May 19 inclusive, and re-opening Tuesday morning, May 20, at 8am. Please call us in advance of the weekend if you have an urgent need or medication refill request.

In the case of an emergency:

We are hiring a full time Client Care Representative. Priority will be given to applicants with previous client-facing experience (in vet medicine or other positions).

- greeting clients and rooming patients

GREAT NEWS for local pets and pet owners.

Mahalo Veterinary Hospital in Nanaimo has been able to graciously extend their hours to fill the gaps in overnight emergency veterinary care. Between Tuesday-Friday morning when CIVEH is closed, Mahalo Veterinary Hospital is available for after-hours emergency care overnight.

We are incredibly grateful to their team for making this possible and helping to ensure that pets have access to emergency veterinary care. 🐾

Here is the most up-to-date information on how to access emergency veterinary care:

🩺 During Daytime Business Hours, Island Tides Veterinary Hospital will continue to see emergencies as they happen. Please call us at 778-647-4884.

🩺 After-Hours: for virtual after-hours care, please contact SmartVet at (778) 743-4351 to speak to a Registered Veterinary Technologist.
