My holidays did not go as expected as I returned home with one less fur baby. Last week Charlotte had an awful night of seizures so I made the heart wrenching decision to put her down. She was the last of my 3 amigos and I know Bailey and Kasey were waiting for her to cross the 🌈 bridge. I’m sure my dad was there too. Oh what a great reunion they must have had. Charlotte loved camping and going in the boat so we did all of the usual stuff for her last day, walks, fishing and good snacks. She had a big smile the whole day, enjoying every last minute. She slept better that night than she had slept in months. The next morning we went to see Dr Claudia and she left us very quickly, she was ready to go. I don’t handle these days very well so I am very grateful to Dr Claudia and her amazing staff for getting us in so quickly and for taking care of her until I got back home to bury her. Charlotte, you were loved so much and will be missed. You didn’t have the greatest start in life but that quickly turned around when you found yourself on my doorstep in need of a new home. I had every intention of getting you to a good place emotionally then finding you a loving forever home. I didn’t realize that Bailey had other plans and wanted to keep you for her best friend. When I realized that you two were going to be BFF’s, it was an easy decision to make you part of the family even though I had no intention of having 3 dogs of my own. 🤷🏻♀️
My 3 amigos. You guys were the best. People at the camping sites always said you were the best behaved dogs and I couldn’t disagree. I got lucky when you found your way into my life. You were the little dog I didn’t know I wanted or needed but you sure made an impact. Thanks for being that dog, Charlotte, I love you and I miss you 😢💔😇🌈❤️❤️❤️
