PUPPY PSA! 🐾
Leaving your dogs haircut longer for winter doesn’t mean having them come to the groomer less, it’s actually can mean the opposite. More often than not we need to see them more so we can help you keep their beautiful coat healthy, clean and matt free before their tangles turn into full blown Matt’s.
We love keeping all our friends longer in the winter, but with the rain and the possible snow and debris we need to make sure we are staying on top of the coat maintenance to make sure they don’t have any uncomfortable pulling or tugging in areas that get missed at home.. Let’s face it, love you guys… but you’re not always the best at maintaining at home. And that’s honestly fine, that’s why we exist. Groin, armpits, neck, behind the ears, on the ears, UNDER the ears, muzzle, chin and omg the tail, don’t even mention the tail. These are all places we find people struggle to maintain at home when it comes to these longer cuts. But fear not! We can keep that foofy coat, Book your dogs in for a bath a tidy between regular cuts and we can make sure you can keep your dog in that long fluffy cut you desire this winter!

4 week grooms are usually good, but sometimes if your away or your busy and your dogs coat is like 4 inches long you’re going to want to at least bring them for a bath and brush at the 2 week mark.

5-6 week appts = 3 week bath and tidy (recommended)

7-8 week appts = 4 week bath and tidy

9 weeks and longer is to long to leave your dog between haircuts in the winter months unless they have been taken down quite short.

If you want your dog in a longer luxurious coat seeing us at least every three weeks is recommended EVEN if you don’t want their haircut! Also your dog will smell delicious and clean all the time and who could complain about that! 🐾
