I can confirm , it’s Turtle Season too!

Why did the turtle cross the road? To safely get to the other side! 🐢

Although Ontario’s turtles spend most of their time in the water, all turtle species need to lay their eggs on dry land. About half of the turtles hit by cars are adult females on their way to lay eggs. Please keep an eye out for turtles crossing roads anytime between April and November, especially roads near water or wetlands.

Make sure you give your pets a once over after each time outside , especially if they’ve been in the grass/leaves

And it’s always worth investing in a tick treatment or spray as well!

The bounty of what’s been built 🥹💕 and theres even a few missing!!

Here’s a fun story!
The pup in the first picture has been such a scaredy cat! Getting close to him has been such a rewarding feat over many months and we’ve still got a long way to go — but finally, thanks to the help of his trusty sidekick in the second picture, he’s been getting braver !! If she thinks I’m safe, I must be safe. If she thinks walks with me are fun, then they must be fun 🤭
I find it so funny that he take cues from such a small little girl, but I am so thankful that he has the option of having his own little service dog to help him through his anxiousness. It’s so precious 🥹🤎

Also, maybe you knew this already — but to help combat windburn — I’ve been applying moisturizer to my face as usual, but then applying a thin layer of Vaseline overtop — and what a game changer ! No more angry cheeks after a long day in the elements 🤩

I feel like every post is about just how grateful I am for this life — but I really am 🙈🩷

Everyday, I get the best greetings from the happiest clients, the landscapes, the calmness, the peace.

I quite literally smell the roses every day and take note of life’s beauties — it has changed my entire way of being, my thought processes; even in the moments of chaos or uncertainty.

It’s more than walking dogs. It’s a whole lifestyle.

And I don’t think I’ll ever stop talking about thankful I am for this life, for this community; it has allowed me to grow and continue to grow in all of the best ways and I don’t take a second of that for granted.

A brutal windchill today (-21) — and here’s what it means for us ! 🥶🇨🇦

Definitely 1 hour walks will be shortened up — no matter which breed of dog you have (yes , even a husky 😆) it’ll be too intense for them.

The half hour walks will be modified as well, if needed.
This one is breed specific — some dogs may only tolerate about 15 minutes outdoors (pretty much business only 💩), while other bigger, fluffier dogs may be able to tolerate 20-25 minutes out there.

As we walk, we are staying vigilant to any signs of distress or being uncomfortable and this trumps everything 🐶🛑

Regardless of the time spent outside, we are dedicated to our time with your pup, and we are always more than happy to spend the remainder of the time indoors with them playing ball or just snuggling up 🎾😌

Also, god bless our township workers, who work tirelessly to keep our streets and sidewalks clear of ice and snow — however , that salt is usually always bothersome to pup paws 🐾☹️
Here is a link to some really cool dog suspender boots — not your typical individual boots that tend to fall off and then you didnt notice that you lost one and now it’s 200 meters behind you and you have to backtrack and try to find it and then have to take your gloves off and then try and put it on your dog while you’re on the walk and then you get it on and then another one falls off and then you have to keep doing that over and over again throughout the whole walk 😮‍💨😬😆 iykyk) — these are really the best of the best —Canada Pooch really knows Canadian weather! — but any boots are good with us and I think even Amazon sells some that are decently priced too!
