🐾Please note that Campbellford Veterinary Services will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, 2026.We will resume normal hours and reopen on Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00 AM.

If your pet needs food or medication refills before the holiday closure, please reach out to us ahead of time so we can get them ready for you!

🐾 Honouring a True Champion for Animals: Dolly Parton (1946–2026) 🐾

The world lost a literal angel this week, and here at Campbellford Veterinary Services, our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to the legendary Dolly Parton. 🕊️✨
While the world remembers her for her iconic voice, glittering outfits, and unmatched generosity, the veterinary and animal rescue communities are remembering her for her massive, compassionate heart for animals. 🐶🐱
Dolly didn't just love animals; she actively protected them. From her childhood in the Great Smoky Mountains—where she grew up caring for stray dogs, injured birds, and farm animals—to her later years funding rescue efforts and wildlife conservation, she was a fierce voice for the voiceless. She even launched her own pet line, Doggy Parton, explicitly to fund animal rescue organizations and make sure vulnerable pets got the medical care, food, and shelter they deserved. Dolly once beautifully said: "I’ve always loved animals. They don't judge you, they just love you unconditionally."

As veterinary professionals, we see that unconditional love every single day. Today, we are keeping her family, her fans, and her beloved pets in our thoughts. Thank you, Dolly, for showing the world how to love a little deeper, give a little extra, and care for all creatures, great and small. Your light will never truly go out. 💖🍿👉
