Meet Echo, a sweet 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy with beautiful markings! She’s on the smaller side right now at about 16 kg (35 lbs) and is expected to mature around 18–22 kg (40–50 lbs).

Echo is a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable (and once she realizes you have treats!), her playful, affectionate personality shines. She’s very food motivated and is working on staying calm during meal prep (right now she gets the zoomies and bounces like a little jumping bean). She’s learning not to jump and to sit patiently until her bowl is placed down.

She’s crate-trained and settles in easily at night or when you need to run errands. Her house training is progressing well, with only a few accidents along the way. She tends to quietly wait by the door when she needs to go out, so we may introduce bell training to help her communicate more clearly.

Echo adores her toys, especially anything that squeaks! She even tried to gather all of them onto the couch so she could cuddle and chew at her leisure. She loves attention, loves to cuddle, and wants to be wherever her people are.

Car rides are still a work in progress, but she’s improving. Once she’s in the car, she settles and lies down comfortably.

Echo absolutely loves snow! Running, playing, and zooming along any track you make for her. She’s less enthusiastic about going for leashed walks in the cold, but off-leash playtime in the snow is her happy place.

She gets along wonderfully with the resident dog and shows the potential to enjoy canine friends, though she can be cautious meeting unfamiliar dogs on leash.

Echo will be available for adoption once her giardia has fully cleared and she’s ready for her forever home.

Giving Tuesday is tomorrow and we need your help!

In the past couple of weeks alone, our rescue has taken on several urgent care needs:

💵 Echo was taken in, given an exam, f***l analysis, deworming and is being treated for giardia
💵 The "Frozen Kittens" have their spay and neuter surgeries
💵 Indie needed medication for a painful ear infection
💵 Toopy received treatment for a urine infection
💵 Any new intakes will need exams - when we are in debt, it limits our ability to help more

These costs add up quickly, and our current outstanding vet bill at Bishopgate is $600, with more invoices on the way. We're hoping to raise $1000 to ensure our animals get the care they need over the holidays and we get out of the red for the new year.

📣 Puppy Alert! 📣

Say hello to our newest intake, Echo! This sweet 9 month old pup just arrived and is settling in safely with us. She’s a gentle, curious girl with the sweetest eyes — and we can already tell she’s going to make an amazing companion for someone.

Right now, she’s being treated for giardia, a common and very treatable intestinal infection. She’s getting the care she needs, plenty of rest, and lots of love from our team and her amazing foster family. Once she’s fully recovered, she’ll be officially available for adoption!

Stay tuned for updates on her progress, personality, and photos as she begins to feel better.

If you’d like to help support her medical care, we’re gratefully accepting donations toward her treatment and recovery. Every little bit truly makes a difference in helping pups like her get the healthy, happy start they deserve! ♥️

Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men, women, and animals who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

From horses and dogs on the front lines to the countless service and support animals who continue to stand by our veterans today, their loyalty and courage remind us that heroism comes in many forms. 🕊️🐾

As we wear our poppies and bow our heads in silence, we also hold space in our hearts for every life that gave selflessly in the name of peace.

Lest we forget. ❤️

🐾 Happy Tails Update! 🐾

We’re so happy to share an update on Buddy and Bella, two of our sweet rescues who were adopted together — and are now living their best lives! 💕

Their new family says the pair have settled in beautifully. Both are growing more relaxed and confident each day, enjoying cozy naps in sunny spots (and occasionally stealing the desk chair when someone gets up!). They love to chase each other around the house, play with their toys, watch the world go by from the windows, and snuggle up at night.

They’ve even been given adorable new names — Gus and Alice — which suit their unique little personalities perfectly. 🐱💖 Gus is the chatty foodie of the pair, while Alice is athletic, curious, and full of playful energy.

We’re thrilled to see them so loved and happy in their forever home. Thank you to their amazing adopters for giving these two the wonderful life they deserve!

This way you don't have to worry about the $100 minimum to order through the site. Help us raise much needed funds for vet bills and get some shopping done! You must be able to pick up your order in Cambridge. Orders will be ready early December.
