Meet George!! (3 years old approx)

After years of braving life on the streets, George has traded in his days as a rugged wanderer for the warmth and safety of indoor life – and he’s absolutely loving it. With his striking slate-grey coat, big expressive eyes, and those signature chunky cheeks (a badge of honor from his time as a tomcat), George is truly one of a kind. Honestly, with a face like his, he’s begging to be Insta-famous.

Now that he knows the joy of human affection, George has become the ultimate lap cat. His favorite place in the world is curled up on your lap, purring away the hours while soaking in love and attention. He especially loves gentle head scratches and chin rubs, and will happily close his eyes in bliss when you give him those. He’s not a fan of being picked up, but if you let him come to you, he’ll reward you with endless affection. ‼️OUR AMAZING FOSTERS IN ACTION!!!‼️

Thank you to our amazing fosters who sprung into action today! We got a message about 2 orphaned day old kittens who need bottle feeding. Our expert bottle baby foster has successfully raised the 3 babies abandoned by their mama (who was a kitten herself). Now weaned, they were quickly moved to another foster to take in the new bottle babies.

The 3 made themselves at home in the new foster, tiring themselves out playing on the stairs, which they found to be great entertainment.

And thank you to the kind soul who found them after the injured mama abandoned them and got them through their first day bottle feeding. Plans are underway to trap the injured mama. It truly takes a village!!! ❤️

Chonk-a-Chonk (now Charlie) was one of 6 kittens taken in by CHCR with mom Daisy and 2 older siblings, the first rescues we made. ❤️ He was adopted by one of our own volunteers and he is now 4 and living his best life!

Our rescue will celebrate it's 4th year September 1st! Where has the time gone!! 🤯 Thank you to everyone who has made this possible!

WOW what a weekend!!! Ezekiel, the longest foster we've had at 1 year 8 months JUST GOT ADOPTED!!!!! And that's not all!!! Parsley and Licorice got adopted together!! AND Mew will be picked up today to go to her furever home!!

This sweet girl is still looking for her furever home. This is Mei a 1.5 year old Tortie. When this shy little sweetheart first arrived at her foster home, she barely peeked out from her cozy hiding spot. But slowly and surely, Mei’s confidence bloomed. Now, she happily explores the house—so long as it's quiet.

She needs a quiet home, good with other animals. Adoption fee: $200. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She will need 2 boosters.

Mew is ready to try again for her furever home! She needs a special home and we know it's out there! She needs to be the ONLY cat, no dogs and no young children. It needs to a be a quiet home.

She is a 4 year old Siamese kitty who was abandoned by her owner. She is petite and not at as talkative as a normal Siamese. She will softly mew at you when she wants pets, to be brushed or set on your lap. She will follow you around to be in the area you are, but will come to you on her terms. She needs the right family to gaze into her beautiful blue eyes and patiently let her learn to trust you.

She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Adoption fee: $300

Meet Mei a 1.5 year old tortie.

She is a resilient beautiful girl who is in search of a home who is willing to continue to work with her and bring her out of her shell. We're looking for that special person out there who is willing to patiently love her and continue to rebuild her trust in humans.

Mei is loving and goofy, she drools like crazy when she is happy! She is very food motivated; her favourites are temptations and Churu treats. Previously, Mei was afraid to be touched, but is happy to accept pets now, especially if food is involved. She still spooks easily and often hides, which is why she is looking for someone who is willing to give her the time, patience, and reassurance she needs.
