A big day for Angel! We took him to the summer solstice show grounds to get some experience today 😊 He was super anxious at first but calmed down quickly and was a superstar by the end of the day. Thank you so much Victoria for having me be apart of your guy's journey, he's got so much potential and I'm looking forward to guiding Alexandria and Angel to reach all their goals!

Here's a sneak peak of Lexi's polework today. We did lots of muscle building and fitness work today. She had a ton of fun doing this exercise in different patterns

Pic of Lexi and her current boyfriend for attention 🤭

I will be away April 17th to April 20th (Friday to Monday) visiting family. No sessions will run between those dates. I will message everyone who's booked weekly with me on those days to let them know.

Thank you for understanding! I will be back to working with everyone on the Tuesday the 21st.

Photos taken day 2 but today was day 3 with Chance! Today was the day the work from the last 2 days really paid off 🥰 His steering was so much better today, we were able to make it all the way around the arena, do some circles, change direction across the diagonal as well as have a few trot circles each direction. I'm so proud of this boy 🤩

Chance making me look like a dwarf 🤣 Thank you so much Jenn for having me work with another one of your guys 🥰 I was so excited when I got your message with the opportunity for me to start this boy under saddle and it's so nice to see you and Lewis again as well as see Lyric's not so little anymore baby 😊

Today was ride #2 with mr Chance! And I promise he was happier than he looks in this photo lmao. We accomplished a little bit of trot today with a small understanding of steering and he's beginning to understand what leg means. Lots of work to do, but I'm very pleased with his willingness to try to understand 💕 I'm so excited to continue working with this handsome hunk and make some real progress with him!

Angel and I found the XC course the other day! He was such a brave boy and was happy to navigate around and over all of the obstacles I asked him to approach. This is good practice before his in hand class coming up next month and it also helps him build the strength in his stiffles without thinking we're working 🥰 it was also nice to just get him out of the arena and outside exploring. It was a session filled with fun for both of us 💙

First ride on this lovely 3yr old bred by Audrey Schnurr. We did not expect to get this far on him with how it started 🤣 a big thank you to Audrey for doing the proper groundwork beforehand to allow this to happen so quickly though and for being someone I could trust on the ground 🥰

Baby was not impressed with his new job lol, however he came around quickly and started to understand leg and was comfortable with a rider on his back by the end of this session. We practised getting on and off a couple times, halting and walking on. As you can see, he was cooperating but made sure to let us know he was not a fan with that sassy head toss 🤣

Fingers crossed🤞🏻 he starts to like his new job as much as Cheezy once he gets a better understanding of what we're doing haha

Rose had 3 rides on her last summer and then got the winter off. Is she fit? Absolutely not. Is she broke? Also no lol. Did I expect her to remember anything from her 3 rides pre winter? I expected her to remember to move away from pressure and stop when asked. Not perfectly, but to have some understanding of those two concepts. We rode for about 25 minutes, mostly walk with hill work with a little bit of trot. I would never expect to take a horse that's had time off to carry me around at quicker gaits for 45 mins to an hour.

Now, here's what I got from this ride:
- She did not stand nicely at the mounting block
- She moved off of leg after the encouragement of clucking
- She DID stop and steer
- She was not spooky

Overall, I'm thrilled with this ride. She did 90% of what I asked of her, had brakes and was in tune with me. The mounting block we can work on, and fitness is also workable. She wasn't trying to run off. The main thing when bringing horses back into work isn't getting them going at the canter or trot and jumping, etc. it's having them pay attention to you.

Olivia, the unbothered queen 👑 this being said, please don't honk your horn to say hi when flying past stables with people riding 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know a few horses that aren't saints like Olivia where this could have gone very badly.

That being said... If you want an unbothered queen to be your next partner either in the arena or on the trails, Olivia's your gal 💯 message Jackie at [email protected] to come meet her 🥰

Angel and I did some work on finding distances today with a pole on the ground. This boy likes to take long spots 🤣 When training things like this, I like to let horses figure it out by themselves. It makes them more forgiving for their riders and teaches them to figure it out if given a bad distance. I can't believe how much of a different horse he is compared to just a few weeks ago! A few weeks ago he would have gotten mad and tossed his head down with a little buck if I had let him figure it out by himself and he'd made a mistake. Today he took the long spots and kept going and he was also much more rideable into the approach when I did take control compared to a few weeks ago. He still likes to come in hot, and that will be what we work on next when training this or jumping exercises, but for now I'll take what he's giving me in trade for him being more forgiving and figuring it out. Super happy with how this guy is coming along 😍
