The boys had a great turn out at the FGC Field Trial and Show n Go.

Shady still is having a tough time finding the lightbulb and confidence in the field, not sure if he'll ever find it... But he got to play in the specialty show yesterday and went winners dog for 2 points - putting him half way to his CH! He was GREAT in the ring and I can't wait to show him again! Going to keep pursuing that CH.

Xoai had never even been on a full field so my expectations were low. Certified him Friday night (thanks Kimmi and Juniper!) and threw him in regular competition. He ran solo all weekend in his breed, and will continue to run alone until he's totally dialed in and mentally ready to have company. The kid can run! The kid ran! He had excellent scores all weekend and both days would have gone onto a BIF run off! 😱😱 He's not ready for that yet, it would have been so unfair to ask that of him. Perhaps a BIF in his future though! He did have the top aggregate today!
He showed like a boss in the specialty yesterday and I really think he almost had a piece of that big rosette 🏵️🏵️. Iska Kennels - Azawakh & Bloodhounds

After a crash and burn yesterday, FeathR's success today tasted so much sweeter!
Good sled dog much prefers the flowy courses and I now have a more honed pre-ring procedure for her.
Second place and a coveted Q, she's nearly got her novice title.
It's fun when it goes right, 😅

Cruz had a very good day at CKOC, completing his first successful rally obedience attempt.
Goodest nakey boi pulled off a 92/100 and earned himself a high in class and the esteemed Qualifying Score!
Looks like we might have to stick with this 😜

Came home from CKOC yesterday with a shiny new champion 🏆🥇 (pending CKC confirmation).
IYKYK this is a huge deal 🫶🏼
Better late than never, but I'm incredibly proud of all the old man has done and the start he's giving me with this breed.
Excited to play in the veteran ring at Future shows!

Xoai is now ten months old and I'm really happy with what I've got here.
He's outgoing, full of charisma, a tad naughty and always up for fun.
We spent the long weekend at the Renaissance Dog Association Show in Chilliwack among great company.
This was his biggest show experience to date and he crushed it, 4 days in the ring and 2 specialties. We didn't win any notable prizes, but we won so much more! Great friends, new admirers, and incredible feedback from competitors and judges alike.
Huge thank you to our Judge, Mrs Marianne C Kinkowski for the Western Gazehound Specialty for the kind words and encouragement.

Looking forward to all the adventures and a rich future for this cheeky young lad.

Wesley would have been 18 today!
The almost 16 years we had was amazing, but just not long enough.
I'm grateful daily for the foundation he created for me, and all I have that's directly from what he gave.
The best gateway dog!
