After much anticipation, CTC is excited to finally launch our new booking website with the help of Square. Not only does this give riders the opportunity to find consistent lesson times and review past and future lessons more easily - it's also easy to make payments for lessons online or using our tap options now in-barn.

FAQs:

👉 All existing April lessons will still remain in the calendar HOWEVER any new lesson in April or May will now need to book through our CTC Square Booking Link: https://carters-training-centre.square.site

👉 LESSON PRICES:
GROUP $70.00 (+ HST) | PRIVATE $90.00 ( + HST) | INTRO $125.00 (+HST)

👉 New riders to Carter's Training Centre must book an "INTRODUCTORY LESSON" where riders learn the basics of horse care, grooming, tacking up, mounting, and essential riding skills like steering and stopping, all in a safe, supportive environment while building confidence and getting to know our horses and coaches

👉 For INTRODUCTORY and PRIVATE lessons as well as ARENA RENTALS please look for the "Services" Tab. For GROUP lesson (Youth and Adult) please look for the "CLASSES" tab

👉 Payments for lessons can me made via cash, e-trasnfer, debit or credit card. (Please note a $2.50 service charge will be added for credit card transactions.)

👉 To hold your lesson spot Square will ask for credit card information. Your card will not be charged until your lesson, or if you choose to pay via card on file

We’re honoured to share that Paige has been selected as one of 10 participants in Ontario Equestrian’s Young Professionals Program - chosen from 72 applicants across the province!

This is an exciting opportunity as we continue to grow Carter’s Training Centre!

“Hosted by Ontario Equestrian, the Young Professionals Program is a mentored program for young Ontario equestrian professionals, fostering industry growth by enhancing business skills, building networks, and addressing key challenges in a supportive, inclusive environment.”

We’re looking forward to watching Paige continue to develop strong leadership skills, connecting with peers, and bring new knowledge and ideas back to our amazing CTC community!

Carter's Training Centre is excited to once again host the Brant County 4-H Horse Club for 2026! We have a full year ahead packed with demonstrations, learning opportunities, and leadership experiences.

CTC is heartbroken to share the passing of our favourite lesson mare, Moon.

Moonie meant so much to our CTC community and was loved far beyond words. As a coach, she was the best teammate. She spent countless hours teaching first-time riders, first-time lopers, anyone needing a life lesson, and many who simply needed a good friend.

She wasn’t registered. She didn’t have big titles. And she certainly wasn’t above testing a rider’s perseverance. But Moon showed us just how intelligent, patient, and generous these incredible animals can be, and how deeply they touch our hearts.

While we typically use this space to celebrate achievements within the CTC community, today we ask that you take a moment to celebrate the horses who make those achievements possible. Give your horses — especially your lesson horses — an extra hug, a treat, and a moment of gratitude for all they give us and teach us! 💛🌙 Rest easy, Moon.

🎄🎁 CANDY CANE HAY🎅🏻🎄

When the stars shine bright on Christmas Eve night,
And the barn is quiet, tucked snug and tight,
Santa slips in with a twinkle and grin,
Boots dusted white from the snow blowing in.

He checks every stall, gives a soft little neigh,
“These good horses worked hard all year,” he’ll say.
So instead of carrots or apples today,
He leaves something special — candy cane hay.

Sweet peppermint stripes mixed in alfalfa delight,
A Christmas surprise before morning’s first light.
The horses all nicker, tails swish with cheer,
They’re thankful for a visit from Santa and his reindeer

So if your horse seems extra merry and bright,
With peppermint whiskers on Christmas morn’s light,
