Goodbyes are one of the hardest parts of what I do. Over the years, so many of my clients become more than just appointments on the schedule — they become relationships built on trust, care, and love for the dogs we all adore.

Today I’m saying farewell to a long-time client who is moving away. It has truly been such a pleasure caring for Gizzmo over the years and getting to know you along the way.

Watching our furry friends grow, change, and become part of our routines is something very special, and I’m so grateful to have been a small part of that journey.

While goodbyes are never easy, I’m wishing you all the very best in your new adventure. Thank you for the years of support, kindness, and trust — it has meant so much.

You will both be missed more than you know. ❤️

🐾 What is hand stripping (and why some dogs need it)?
Hand stripping is a grooming method where the dead coat is gently removed by hand instead of being clipped.
✨ It’s best for certain wire-coated breeds (like terriers & schnauzers) because it:
✔ keeps the coat harsh and weather-proof
✔ helps maintain richer colour
✔ allows healthy new coat to grow properly
✔ prevents the coat from becoming soft and fluffy over time
👉 When done correctly, hand stripping does not hurt — only dead hair is removed.
🐶 Not every dog of these breeds is suitable (many pet dogs have been clipped for years), so we always assess each coat first.
