It’s our quietest weekend since summer started! Which means that Edison and Josephine are able to come out and enjoy some friends too. All of the dogs have met before except for Gracie. Edison can be dog selective but usually likes females. Now that Gracie has settled in a bit, we are getting to know each other, and I know more about her play style and body language, everyone was ready for slow introductions. Looks like new friends are on the agenda today! Lexie is happiest with her ball and tends to herd the group if there are shenanigans going on, so a little separate ball throwing for her keeps everyone happy.

Skylar, Finnegan, Mack, and Bowie all went home today leaving Kali, Finley, Luna, Lexie, and Gracie in the kennel for the weekend. Luna will definitely miss Finnegan - they really hit it off and played well together. Otto, Mica, and Uno came for daycare and we managed to get all of our regular outside time without any rain.

A little bit of play and a whole lot of reading and leaving pee-mails today. A big mix of personalities, some anxious and reactive feelings, but everyone is having some time to get their needs met. The Half Acre Haven is the place for mental and physical enrichment for all personalities.

It was a revolving door here this afternoon with daycare pups going home and boarders arriving! Iris went home this afternoon while Mack, Bowie, Lexie, Gracie, and Skylar all arrived for boarding joining Kali, Finley, Finnegan, and Luna in the kennel. The daycare crew included Koa, Lewis, Nellie, Willie, Rosie, Rio, and Wil for a fun and full day!

Bruno went home today and Finnegan and Iris both arrived for their stays with us, joining Luna, Kali, and Finley in the kennel. Our Wednesday daycare crew included Banks, Henry, Kuri, Virgil, Twig, and Zinnia. Another day of some big personalities and sensitive souls. Given the choice (and he always gets a choice), Virgil is thrilled to play with his Jolly Egg and his enthusiasm never disappoints!

Kali and Finley are back for a pawcation with us joining Luna and Bruno in the kennel. We welcomed Gracie for her trial daycare day prior to boarding later this week. She was joined by Emma, Koa, and Winston for daycare. With slow and steady introductions, everyone was able to be out together today with some close supervision to make sure nobody felt too nervous or overwhelmed with different personalities. Thanks to Isaac for being here to help with all of that and more today!
