Every great adventure has its last walk💙
After almost 10 years of muddy paws, happy tails, amazing customers, and more memories than we could ever fit in one post the time has come for our next chapter.
With heavy hearts we announce that the Banff Doghouse retail store will be closing on January 31, 2027.
Our long-term sublease is coming to an end, and despite our dogged attempts we haven’t been able to find a lease to carry us forward.
To everyone who came through our doors—from Banff and the surrounding region to across Canada and around the world—thank you for making this entrepreneurial adventure so extraordinary. You’ve reminded us time and again why Two Feet Move Your Body, Four Feet Move Your Soul is more than a tagline - it’s the people we met, the dogs we’ve grown up with and loved, and the connections and the community that made the years so meaningful, and The Doghouse what it is today.
Jenny and Ward, along with Matt, Emma and our entire team, are here to help make this transition as smooth as possible and business will continue in store and online as usual. We’ll be sharing additional information in-store, to our account list and through social channels in the weeks ahead.
We are continuing to process and evaluate our next steps but for now, we’d love to hear from you. Tell us about your favourite Doghouse memory, share a photo of your four-legged shopping companion, or stop by for a visit. These are the stories and connections we’ll carry with us long after January 31.
Thank you for being part of our Banff story.
With love and gratitude,
Ward, Jenny & the Doghouse team
Treat. Play. Love. Always. 🐾
