RVT Spotlight, Say hello to Bev!🩵
Bev graduated in 1992 from the Animal Health Technology program (later renamed the Veterinary Technology program) at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, which has also since been renamed the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.
Her career began at Kennedy Animal Hospital in Sydney where she spent six years before joining the team at Baddeck Veterinary Clinic. She also served on the Board of Directors, including as Executive Director, for the Eastern Veterinary Technicians Association (EVTA) for nearly two decades.
Bev’s compassion, interpersonal skills and devotion to her patients and clients has been the foundation from which she has built her storied career, from surgery and behaviour cases to her current position as clinic manager.
But no matter her role, Bev’s focus has always been centred on the families who trust us with their pets, “I truly love getting to know them and cherish the stories that they share of their lives and their pets lives. I feel honoured to have been part of their beginning and feel blessed to have been there for them during their pet’s passing.”
When she’s not at work, Bev enjoys watching a good TV series with her daughter, Rori, enjoying a nice quiet drive while looking at thrift stores with her son, James, having a meal with her husband, Ian, & getting together with friends for tea & a chat.
Bev is an incredible asset and we are very fortunate to have her as part of our team!
