Did you know that the top coat on a double- coated breed ( Bernese Mtn Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Shepherds, Huskies, Newfoundland Dogs and many more!) traps air to the dogs skin helping it to cool off on hot days?

It is so important NOT to shave their top coat off- this does not make them cooler. Regular brushing to remove that soft fuzzy undercoat so that the air can reach their skin helps them cool off!

Please brush regularly to help keep your furry loved one cool on these extremely hot days. It's as important as providing fresh water!
