Just a quick heads-up for all the dog owners out there: By-law No. 1781/2019 says dogs need to be on a leash unless you're in one of the two off-leash areas in town.
We know it’s tempting to let your dog roam free, especially if they’re well-behaved—but when people see others ignoring the rule, it makes them think it’s okay too. That’s how we end up with more off-leash dogs where they shouldn't be, which can cause issues for kids, other pets, or folks who just aren’t comfortable around unleashed dogs.
So, let’s all lead by example—keep the leash on unless you're in an off-leash zone. It's better for everyone (and keeps you out of trouble too 😉).
