I’m so excited to finally share that my certificate arrived!

Technically, it’s been hanging on my wall for a little while now, but with everything happening with Farley over the last couple of months, home life has needed more of my attention.

I’m slowly getting back into sharing more posts and training reels, but I couldn’t let this milestone go unmentioned.

I officially have some new letters to add to my name: CPDT-KA.

This certification took months of studying, practice exams, reviewing learning theory, training mechanics, client coaching, ethics, and everything in between.
Dog training is still an unregulated industry, and while certification isn’t the only thing that makes someone a good trainer, it was important to me to pursue this.
For myself, for my clients, and for the dogs I work with.

I wanted to keep building my knowledge, prove that I take this work seriously, and continue showing up with thoughtful, evidence-based support for dogs and the people who love them.

So here it is, officially official:

Upgrade your walks to Walk n Train now! 🐾

This service is for dogs who need more targeted support during their walks, especially when the real world is where the struggle shows up.

A regular private walk with me includes enrichment, decompression, engagement, confidence building and reinforcing skills your dog already knows.

Walk n Train takes it a step further.

These 60 minute sessions are more structured and goal-focused, with specific training worked into your dog’s walk. This can include behaviours like leash pulling, reactivity, neutrality, engagement outside, impulse control, and advanced confidence building in real-life environments.

It’s a great option for dogs who are doing well at home but struggle outside, dogs who get overstimulated on leash, or dogs who need more consistent practice during the week while their owners are working or away.

For current walking clients, you can upgrade one or more of your weekly walks to Walk n Train sessions for more focused support.
