They searched for a week. They placed newspaper ads. Then they had to drive home without him. 🐾
Six months to the day after he vanished in Indiana, a skinny, matted, raw-pawed collie appeared on a sidewalk in Silverton, Oregon.
Bobbie had walked over 2,500 miles to get back to his family — 2,551 miles by one careful count, maybe closer to 2,800. Nobody ever figured out how he knew the way.
He just kept walking. Would your dog find its way home? 👇

Twelve bombs had already gone off. The city was waiting for the next one. 🐕
In March 1993, Mumbai was in terror — 257 dead, 713 injured — and Zanjeer, a golden Labrador with the police bomb squad, helped stop three more bombs before they could explode.
Across his career with the squad, he found over 3,329 kg of RDX, 600 detonators, 249 gr***des and 6,406 rounds of am******on.
Thousands of people went home safe because one dog kept sniffing.

Her ship was sunk. Her camp beat her. She never left her men. 🐾
Judy was a ship's dog who swam ashore with her crew, dug up fresh water when they had none — then became a prisoner of war in Sumatra.
Guards beat her for defending her shipmates. So the camp commander, deep in his cups one night, registered her as an official POW: number 81A — the only dog ever given that status in World War II.
When the prison ship sank in 1944, she pushed driftwood to men who couldn't swim.
What kept her going? 👇

Everyone knows Balto. Almost nobody knows Togo. 🐾
In January 1925, diphtheria threatened Nome, Alaska. The serum had to travel 674 miles by dog sled, in −40° cold.
Togo, 12 years old and led by Leonhard Seppala, ran the longest and hardest leg — about 264 miles, across cracking sea ice in a blizzard.
Balto ran the final stretch into Nome — and got the statue in Central Park.
So who really saved Nome: Balto, Togo, or the whole team? 👇

One dog. Four soldiers. No weapon in his paws. 🐾
In July 1943, Chips — a German Shepherd-Collie-Husky mix serving with the US 3rd Infantry Division in Sicily — charged a hidden machine-gun nest and forced four Italian soldiers to surrender.
He was recommended for the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star and Purple Heart — then the Army took them back, because policy said animals could not receive combat decorations.

December 1941, Hong Kong. A gr***de landed among Canadian soldiers. 🐾
Gander, a huge black Newfoundland with the Royal Ri**es of Canada, picked it up and ran with it — away from his men, toward the enemy.
It exploded. Gander died. His soldiers lived.
In 2000, almost 60 years later, he received the Dickin Medal — the animals' Victoria Cross.
Would your dog run toward the danger to save you? 👇

Five families gave her back. One volunteer refused to give up on her. 🐾
Ruby was the shelter dog nobody could handle — until she became a Rhode Island State Police K-9.
In October 2017, a teenager had been lost in the woods for 36 hours. Every human search team failed. Ruby found him, unconscious in a ravine.
Then came the twist no scriptwriter would dare write: the boy was the son of Patricia Inman — the volunteer who had saved Ruby from euthanasia years earlier.
She was given a life. She gave one back. Coincidence? 👇

Two pigeons had already been shot down. He was the last one left. 🕊️
In October 1918, the "Lost Battalion" was trapped behind German lines — and being shelled by their own artillery.
Cher Ami took off with a desperate note tied to his leg. German bullets tore through his chest, blinded one eye, left a leg hanging by a tendon.
He flew 25 miles anyway. In about 25 minutes. The barrage stopped — and 194 men walked out alive.
Could you keep flying with a bullet in your chest? 👇

She threw an alarm clock out of the window, screaming for help. Nobody heard. 💔
Pennsylvania, 1998: Jo Ann Altsman was having a heart attack, alone.
Her pot-bellied pig Lulu squeezed out of the house, cutting herself on the way — then lay down in the middle of the road until a driver stopped.
She led him straight back to the trailer.
Doctors said 15 more minutes would have been too late.

The box was in a freezing hallway. Inside it, a baby just 12 weeks old. ❄️
Masha, a long-haired stray who belonged to the whole building, climbed in and wrapped her body around him — keeping him warm for hours.
Then she meowed until someone came.
When the ambulance took the baby, she ran after it down the street.
She had no home. That night, she was one. Agree? 👇
